I don't think Pika is coming back. Maybe if she misses it in six monthes or a year, but it seems like she's done. The official document says "her wishes" like when Coco quit and Holo wanted her to stay. She'd already apologized, so not like VOMs was ordering her to do it and she rage quit. Unless there was some behind the scenes unrelated drama, like revenue spilt, I don't see why she would go indie or sign with Vshojo. The only argument against my theory is the DFE tactic VOMS is taking.

Revenue split seems like a decent enough reason for her to leave, I wouldn't really call it drama though. Look at all the streamers who have packed up and moved to Texas over the years to avoid some taxes, when you are earning as much as these people are the little 'splits' probably start to add up in a way that is hard to ignore. In my eyes her solo power far outshone the benefit the group was giving to her, and I seem to remember that she paid for isekai Pikamee out of her on pocket? If she combined that level of independence with association with Kson letting her regroup her fans after she leaves, I could see her in a stronger financial position than she is now. But if this was the original plan I think it has probably changed at least a bit, the giant 'anime girl funeral' has probably prolonged the time she needs to be gone to avoid community backlash.

I wouldn't call myself a big fan or anything but I remember her talking about how she doesn't really take out much of her money, rather she just enjoys seeing the numbers go in when she gets her pay cheques. This could support the gone for good theory if she has amassed enough to just live off of the interest. On the other hand I don't think she is really capable of working a 'real job' ever again, even if it was some what joking she has said that she wouldn't be able to be anything other than a streamer and would just depend on Papamee to keep her fed. She has tasted the introverts wet dream and I don't think there is any coming back from that for someone with her social anxieties.

But in the end this is all arm chair psychology of course. Who knows, she could just be getting married and doesn't want to waste time with degen weebs anymore.

I only know this because of the happening thread, so it might be wrong, but doesn't her agency do a really good split? Like SC goes to the talent and only merch/subscriptions get split?

Welp, I made a post a day or two a go about the Idol earnings but today came across something today which makes me think I was woefully mistaken when it comes to the profit margin on merch. I don't think anything will happen overtly, maybe just a few 2 views will try cultivate an audience with dog whistles. I can't imagine many corpo, especially on the Japanese side, are going to collab with a trans vtuber going forward. Trans vtuber's didn't have a great chance of growing outside of their circles to begin with but with this even 'allies' may treat them like untouchables, trans twitter scoring an own goal by stagnating trans creators.

It's already happening. Not overtly, but it all bubbles up to the surface eventually.

Between the communities involved, there were always going to be differences that divided them, comes with the territory of living in a society. What happened was those divides became schisms between the LGBTQ and VTuber communities. Pikamee graduating gave those that already didn't like the LGBTQ community more ammunition to use against them. It's to the point already where those that have even a slight amount of sympathy towards LGBTQ VTubers are starting to be targeted.

Worst yet, the LGBTQ VTubers and their allies continue to gaslight to everyone that they were the victims, inflaming an already tense situation.

What we're going to see for the foreseeable future is a lot of anger and hurt being put on display, and that's not even getting into the recent dramas that have happened.

In the end, the LGBTQ community can cry all they want, they threw the first stone and now others will start hurling boulders at them. Some naively thinking rooting out those who are "transphobic" will suddenly make things better, never acknowledging that it was the radical elements in their own community that got them into the messes they're in today.

Keep your eyes peeled lads. If they can do this to Pikamee, they're going to try it with larger VTubers next.

Alot of my friends are trans. I've even dated a trans person last year until we parted ways due to just not feeling it anymore. I generally go out of my way to try and be inclusive and respectful to them, since I think almost everyone deserves some ounce respect.

But I can't fucking stand it when troons act as obnoxiously as possible, and try to make being trans their whole personality, shitting up every hobby I'm into with their dirty little paws, but the moment something happens against their "culture", they spring up from the ground crying "oh woe is me I'm so scared of waking up in the morning because of how much trans hate and violence against us there is".

These are the same people that will viciously attack people for just not following their narrative, but the moment something decides to clap back they cry out about how they're being oppressed, despite them holding a firm grip over most people and companies.

I just want to enjoy my hobbies in peace with my friends, but seems like more and more I need have stuff I love taken away by the mentally unstable brigade that is Tweeter Troons.

“Trans” and “troons” are essentially two very different things. From my experience, trans people just want to be the gender they feel they are and live their lives without really shoving it in other’s faces. The don’t want to be “trans”, they want to be the opposite gender. They also are typically understanding if you accidentally misgender or deadname them, since that’s how you knew them before and they realize it takes time to properly adjust.

Troons are the one who constantly identify as “trans”, never shut the fuck up about “being a victim”, constantly claim every little thing is “literally killing them”, and are typically terminally online cry-bullies.

Just because they acknowledge they're creepy weirdo sex objects does not make them based. It just means they have a different grifting audience. Namely, conservative leaning people who need tranny friends to prove they're not hateful (Blaire and all mainstream talking heads) and conservative leaning people who still jerk off to trap porn (Lillith and Short Fat Otaku + Count Dankula).

I suppose it’s a bit of a toss up. Especially since the troons are the loud ones constantly screaming online while the actual trans people tend to stay quiet and away from the mess.

I fully admit I could just be being too generous though. I just don’t like painting the full group with the same brush, even though I understand why people do.
