The closest thing to a "waah, muh politics" bailout (because I usually tend to view disagreeing with someone politically to be a retarded reason to not support them and their works, they have to do something horrible or defend a legitimate cunt/shitstain publicly after all the evidence has made the rounds) I ever got to was Charlie Brooker siding with Anita Sarkessian who was at her peak phase of behaving like Jack Thompson with a Vagina. And even then, I still watch Brooker's old stuff (because his more recent works grew duller and more predictable with time, regardless of politics). The second closest was Star Vs The Forces of Evil (specifically the cringe Patriarchy line in "Sleepover"), but I kept watching, going and having fun because ever since I was little, I always like seeing shows that slowly fall apart in slow motion, be it narratively or during the show's production, it's like watching a race that devolves into a demolition derby, which then devolves into a fistfight, you know it's cringe and a little painful/Autistic to watch, but you just have to keep watching, you WANT to see the end result.
Plus, I was still (technically as I was under 18 ), a minor then. So I can chalk up any bullshit views I had back in the late-2000s to mid-2010s to me being A-Loggy and cringe, so I didn't have much of a leg to stand on under an impartial, critical lens in all honesty.
Probably because I generally avoid preachy Autism with little substance anyway, I don't have many examples of works I ONCE enjoyed, I either watch the things I like or avoided watching the things I hate, as it's a waste of time if you're not having fun doing anything other than hate-watch because let's face it, if you do that, you're no better than the milky, lulzy showrunners and writers if you do that without any sense of humour. Unless your programme/show/drawing/whatever is genuinely advocating for horrible, near-inexcusable shit with zero irony or self-awareness, and you, the showrunner/writer/director/etc behave like a retard when your crap is criticised, I tend to watch anything that is well-written and view any drawing that's well-drawn, regardless of personal and public ideologue (
It's all a long work anyway dumbfucks, LOL you're all being played and made to feel passionately butthurt and outraged!) or beliefs.
