I have no skin in this game myself, as I've never been into comic books that much and I gave up on the MCU years ago. That said, MODOK may be a goofy-looking giant head with tiny limbs, but that doesn't mean he couldn't have been an actually serious character on-screen, even threatening. Judging from the fan backlash, that's how he is in the comics, and that's what they wanted to see.

I never watched Yahtzee, but from what I'd heard about him, he generally did an alright job of keeping politics out of his videos and focusing on reviewing the game in question, so I had a bit of respect for him for that reason. For him to do a massive 180 and spend the intro of his wizard game review calling J.K. Rowling a "TERFy cunt" over and over for her milquetoast "live how you want, but women's spaces should be safe from men in dresses" opinions has removed that entirely. What an asshole.

This is how MODOK is depicted in the recent Avengers video game. Although I believe that game is held in low regard, it does show that MODOK can be made at least somewhat menacing, and some of the images of his apparent journey from normal man to what he becomes (I really don't know the story) demonstrates that he could have been a good use of body horror.
