Unsourced because I'm lazy and some of sources are not public yet, but with some google-magic everyone will probably find more info: ruzzia is fucked in ass with trading oil and gas to India.

Firstly, ruzzia isn't purchasing a lot in India, so the trading isn't going good. To India are shipped some goods, from India to ruzzia nearly nothing.

Secondly, ruzzia and India are using in exchenge Indian currency, so for oils&gas ruzzia is receiving rupee in large amounts (not USD, not euro, not gold, not rubles).

At what is the problem?

Well, main issue is that exchange of rupee is hard in large amounts (India rather wishes to get USD for their goods, so no one will buy rupee in large amounts AND India isn't very likely to buy own currency for their reserves - funfact number 1488: in past, before aroun 1960-1970's indian rupee was used as local currency in many states around Persian Gulf and Arab Sea, and after some time India was so faucking mad about it they issued a special currency named 'Gulf Rupee' to just separate own market from overseas market).

Second issue is how to use rupee that ruzzia taked in exchange for oil&gas: so, if they cannot sell them on free market in exchenge for whatever currency (amounts or rupee in ruzzkie hands are so big that they will smash exchenge rate to shit if they just thrown them on market, also market for rupee is shallow) they can use them to buy stuff in India from that hand of sellers who will accept rupee. BUT... as stated above amount of goods imported by ruzzia from India is so small (hundreds of millions USD worth monthly vs around 4-5 billions USD worth export from ruzzia to India) that they probably don't see any more goods that they will use in ruzzia.

They effectively fucked. If ruzzia will not address this issues in half of year or so they will be stuck with huge amount of rupee for eons. And this isn't nothing new for Moscow: in times of Eastern Block they also had a huge problem how to balance interblock trade (if Bulgaria buys from Poland some shit, and Poland didn't need to buy anything from Bulgaria what should be done with received local money or monke tokens like clearing/transfer ruble?).

The incompetence of Russians really knows no bounds. The reason why you don't kill your POWs is because you WANT then to surrender instead of fighting to the last man. When you execute them all you do is incentivize them fighting even harder because what's the point in surrendering if they are dead men anyway.

I would go quite that far, but if they're going to give up Bakhmut they need to get something else in exchange other than fields of sunflowers. If Russia took Bakhmut and got Melitopol/cut off Crimea, that'd do it.

From what I've been told, the technical design of the KA-52 was no joke. The platform Its top-tier hardware - the optics and battlefield avionics lag because Russia, but its up their with the Apache from a flight & fight perspective. The fact they've lost...what is is now, 75% of their active fleet? says more to pilot skill (or lack there off) and doctrine.

The problem with the Russian military is that there seems to be a prison culture in their military where a military like The US takes an almost work like take on their military lifestyle where the hatred of all the grunts is directed at the Jr officer corp who gets the thankless jobs and all the work during war time, meanwhile everyone who makes it to major and beyond can enjoy the high life somewhere in Virginia/north Carolina.
