Total bullshit. The Department of the Navy has been extremely aware of sexual assault issues in the military for 20+ years and I had to regularly sit through classes about it. Anyone that did this as an individual would be kicked out and face charges. If a unit did it, their skipper would be sitting in the brig right now. On deployment, the male to female ratio is easily hundreds to 1, and a disturbing number of women in the Navy/Marine Corps will openly sexually harass/assault men because they're in an environment where they almost never hear "no." I could argue that I was sexually assaulted a dozen or so times on deployment but it never got brought up because female leadership was generally untouchable. A lot of those females in leadership roles got there through diversity promotions via meritorious boards. Being a female in the military can often break down the chain of command because slighting a woman in that environment is like rolling the dice for a false rape accusation. A lot of punishment in the military is dished out non-judicially so half the time you have no real legal recourse to fight it.
We had a malingering female that worked in our admin department. She was pregnant, and would smoke 2+ packs a day while downing countless 2 liters of Mt. Dew. She was an E-3 and her boss was an E-7. He told her that she wasn't allowed to smoke and drink soda while on duty anymore, which was well within his authority. She threw a fucking fit, cussed him out, and threatened the CO that she would go to the media about it. The E-7 got orders later that week forcing him and his family to pack up and move from North Carolina to Arizona.
The military cares more about their image than your innocence, and if frying your career can make a woman shut up, they'll be happy to do it.
