I'm sure many have considered it but I think Phil wanted to test the waters with politics by going on Craig's retarded and lame podcast. One of the first things he brought upon mentioning them is that Craig's from Texas and they talk about politics quite often, so maybe that's what it's all about for him.

To go and try to talk about politics on a place where he won't be instantly labeled a retard and can also talk to people that aren't Derich. If I had to guess, I think Phil's original plan was to go and give his intelligent and meaningful discourse about politics on Craig's show, which would result in new dents that go to DSP and then he can justify ditching gaming because "my audience is full of mature adults dood! They're not here for games and I'm 40, liTURally on my death bed!". Also, Phil can basically throw them under the bus if he says something controversial since "they brought it up doob!"

He was always gonna peak at sub 200K subs. In Dave's terms, he doesn't make meaningful or engaging content. What he does is leave a camera running for nine hours a day and then spams it on youtube. Dave is so retarded that I think he probably unknowingly subscribes to the labor theory of value that holds that all work hours are of equal value regardless of quality or skill. So obviously his time streaming should receive the same reward that someone like Pewdiepie has gotten.

For some comparison a channel I like that puts out crude animations, Doobus Goobus, has going for two years and is almost at a million subs. How has he beat the 15 year begacy Dave has? By putting in the damn work and making funny shit. It's better to put out a minute of good content every two weeks then nine hours of shit every single damn day.

Because Elden Ring is already out, which means easy access to guides and better chances for the chat to handhold him. He couldn't do that with Wo Long since the game had only just come out.
