A nice supportive comment on her couples channel, which Chantal actually "liked." (It really does link to a way to purchase subs.)

What a complete fucking moron.
edit for grammar

Remember she went to the police and had Nader on kidnapping charges because he hid her keys to stop her driving high.

But Salah literally imprisoning her is no big deal, goise!

So thanks to today's revelation we already know we have "he locked me inside the apartment", but what do you guys think Chins will do if Salah tries to end things? With Nader it was straight to the police because of how much it could hurt, with his prior history.

Just wondering if Salah thinks he can ghost sometime in the future once the money's well and truly run out, without understanding exactly how much of a liability Chinny could be.

She's not emotionally obsessed with Salah like she was with Nader, but she has put all of her metaphorical eggs in his basket.

this is a bit terrifying, if the power goes out and she's locked in there, imagine how hot it would be, with no way to contact anyone for help.

that's like one of my worst claustrophobic nightmares, that small, dark enclosed space in high heats and no escape.

and she's roughly 400 pounds with severe health problems that make the heat especially dangerous and unbearable.
Exciting isn’t it???

If that's her angle, she's in for a rude awakening. Domestic violence exists every where, but unlike in Canada, it's not considered a crime in the middle east for husbands to beat their wives. The Kuwaiti authorities would probably ask her what she did to piss Salad off so much that he had no choice but to discipline her.

Don’t worry! Chinny’s not “oppressed,” she’s “protected.”

Correct. According to Madam over there, no woman has ever been oppressed under Islam. Ever. Because nobody touches her. Her logic skills are wanting.
I notice she doesn’t mention her ‘white privilege’ that she hates, any more. The average Arab is likely to be quite respectful of a white woman. She’s not complaining about that.

In his live ‘Hewwo’ tonight Peetz confirmed (split) that Chantal has never been athletic and has and could never get on top.

I know big surprise to those who have eyes and brains. He was talking about his ex and said his ex was fat but couldn’t (he was trying to say not as super fat as Chantal but didn’t want to be caught saying that) so he said she was more athletic than Chantal and could get on top.

The British have a weird thing where people can’t open doors from inside without a key, I think in older construction. (British soaps use it to have dramatic lock-ins of imperiled characters. Usually they’re people we care about, unlike Chins.) Kuwait is formerly British and maybe it’s a holdover from that.

I keep waiting for some clarification that this is not actually what's happening. There is no circumstance in which it makes any sense whatsoever. Is it illegal to have two keys? To get a normal, non-death-trap lock that can be unlocked ftom the inside?

This literally makes no sense. And I'm wondering if it's been misstated on purpose, because internet fantasy loves sinister speculation.

And in fact, htf would people lock their doors at night if you can't lock/unlock from the inside*. It's one thing for a room to lock from outside only, but not a front door.

* meaning if it doesn't have a key or other way. [X]
Haven't seen the pictures in here, thread moves so fast, anyway, can't see nothing unusual or weird about the "infamous" lock or doorknob, the car keys are in the same keyring.

Chantal definitely doesn't have her own key if the keyring w/ the car key is in the door. That is horrifying on so many levels. Where I live, this type of lock has been illegal for many years, precisely because there were several cases quite close in time where people were unable to get the door open in fire emergencies, and were burned to death. I had an apartment in the '70s with this type of lock, but I kept a key in the lock all the time, and I and the other residents had our own key.

She also mentioned that she didn't think they had a smoke detector (!); again, where I live, landlords *must* supply smoke/carbon monoxide detectors to tenants. But there's nothing to stop anyone from getting one on one's own...I checked online for stores in Kuwait, and there were singles for 5 KWD, which at CAD 22.52/USD 16.27 is about what you'd spend in the US.

It's almost like she's flexing "I don't have to worry about being locked in because my man is protecting me". But especially w/ her being sick, combined with her general ill health, she could have a breathing emergency, and even if she was able to call for help (does she know what the equivalent of 911 is, in Kuwait?), how would responders get in?

It looks like a deadlock. I have one on my front door. You don't need the key to open it from the inside unless it's been locked with the key. Chantal seems to be saying it won't stay shut unless it's locked with the key, but if that's the case she should be the one locking it from the inside and it should only be locked from the outside if they're both leaving the apartment.

As noted, most people with deadlocks keep the key in the lock so they don't have to try to find it in an emergency.

The prophet muhammad was a notorious cat lover. They’re revered in the religion. Where tf did you get this information from?
They're even allowed in the holiest mosque of all.
