The Bingo line was a dud compared to the OG. The remake is trying to be a mash up between serious horror and action comedy. Does not gel well. When Leon jumped at the window, it was played as tense and funny and I felt neither tense or like laughing.
Fun gameplay tho, but that was a given.
I assumed the typewriter would not let you save because it is a demo.
Will we have the Moby Dick whale chase scene in the game? Or the boulder? Are they removed? I haven't kept up with the news on the game, knowing that my younger brother is buying it either way and I can download it without paying.

Not that the older fans were some high art aficionados or anything, but these games are made for the most bottom of the barrel easily entertained normie.
Everything I've read and heard about the demo shows this had incredible potential and it's squandered.

What's the logic behind making the knives breakable?
I assume they probably saw streamers doing that thing that makes the regular ganados a joke by shooting them in the leg and then knifing them while they're down?

You can perform instant kills from the rear, prevent instant kills happening to you, slay a parasite without needing flash bangs if the Ganado is disabled etc. I'm guessing it's an attempt to balance that out

Does anyone know if the frame rate tied to knife hits bug is still present? It'd be fun to cheese the game again at 120FPS.
That's not totally true. AFAIK the way it works is that when you blast a zombie in REmake2 with the shotgun you can guarantee a headshot as long the aiming reticle is targeting the head hitbox and only the head hitbox. If you are aiming in a way that might cap a bit of the neck of chest or whatever, all bets are off. Do it the other way and you will get them every time. This leads to you aiming higher than you'd expect to.

I thought it was alright. Did RE4 need a remake? Fuck no, it still holds up and is easily accessible to play, and you can't even say 'They're doing this in an attempt to revive the series.' Like the Dead Space Remake. Am I gonna have a fun time with the remake? Well I enjoyed the demo well enough so most likely. I loved the RE2R despite it's flaws, I hated RE3R because of it's flaws, and I'm probably gonna be somewhere in the middle towards RE4R going entirely by my 15 minutes with it.
We've already seen the giant salamander in some of the trailers, so I'm going to assume that's in, I definitely see them removing the boulder since QTEs are basically gone.

I'm actually cool with the removal of QTEs. They were fine on normal but in professional difficulty the timing was so tight certain ones were almost impossible.

Just finished the demo, I'm not exaggerating when I say I barely survived in the nick of time. Was low on health (wasted it too early, bad habit) and stupid enough to run into a dead end. Huge relief when the bell sounded. No complaints about the gameplay and I do appreciate that they kept the bingo line.

This demo shows me it's probably time to get a new PC. Had my current one 5 years and I can barely play the demo at all.
Lol, and we see the inevitable consequences of courting the (((hollywood))) west. Just like Kojima, the desire to turn games into hollywood movies over the past 13 years has been a big mistake, especially since it helped the "weinstein tribe" infest Japanese media.

RE4R will probably be the only "new" game I buy this year.
My nigga, Hogwarts Legacy and Pizza Tower are great stuff, and I still play Warped Kart Racers.
