General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Niji have already done that to her with that bullet point list. A standard jap corpo would have to be crazy to pick her up after this, niji is effectively attempting to blacklist her, but if what she has actually puts her in a better light compared to them, then it could recover her public image, or at worse, pull a bunch of eyes on her indie account that might stick around. Considering the discord is made not by niji themselves but IIRC Elira then they wouldent have any grounds to push for a lawsuit, not that I think they would try considering their recent attempts.
You technically correct but a little off the mark imo. “A standard jap corpo would have to be crazy to pick her up after this”
yes, and I think she would be crazy to try to go corpo again. She’s very obviously not cut out for it. I still think she can make it as an indie and get great respect. But she can’t do either of that if she leaks a private Discord run by coworkers. I just personally find it highly unlikely anything damning would be found on the other NijiEn members given the respect people have for them, especially Elira. I can’t imagine a leak hurting anyone but herself

But what it would do is destroy any remaining hope of her reputation and would be career suicide
Not really. The bridge already got burnt between her and nji so going full scorched earth wouldn't be too bad of a move if she can find a way to post the info without getting sued. Also, you are forgot to factor in the possible bullshit they said about other streamers behind their backs. If the background shit talk is as good as we're all speculating it is, then exposing it would help her so long as she can again avoid getting sued.

Has anyone from nijisanji or hololive ever spoken about penalties for termination? They obviously have can't use the company persona any more, but is there a financial penalty they have to pay towards the company for making them unable to use a model, sell merch, ect? I don't know how or when youtube pays out superchat but I imagine it goes to the company bank account first before reaching talent does the corpo seize the last 2 months of memberships and superchats or do they just change the locks and tell them to fuck off and never speak of their time again?

You clearly underestimate how most workplaces boil down to petty highschool bullshit season 2, and I can only imagine that is compounded when your workplace subsides purely on internet popularity. Thats the sort of environment that ego's thrive in, and combine that with a Japanese nose to the grindstone cog in the machine workplace, and I'd be more impressed for every person coming out of there untwisted.

I feel like this is wishful thinking. I think everyone else in NijiEn seems like good people and even if they aren’t the VTuber community does respect all of them. I know you guys hate Kyo but the community as a whole doesn’t.

So at worst I think there’d be so stuff about Kyo and it wouldn’t hurt him and just her as it’d be considered treacherous.

I'm pretty sure Zaion's termination is a culmination of both repeated rule violations in a short period of time and refusing to admit she did anything wrong when confronted by management. Other Niji streamers have definitely committed the same violations in the past (see the attached image of "double standard" that is circulating from our favorite vt schizos).

Double Standards (Nah).jpg

But of course, the rate at which these "violations" were accrued (no matter how innocuous some of the stated reasons for termination appeared) did seem to prompt management to silently suspsed her earlier in January, which management mentioned in both their termination notice and can be seen in the one week break Zaion took to see a "sick familay member" (a break she admitted to not wanting to have to take on stream). Yeah, I get some of those rule violations would seem dumb to someone who had been an indie vtuber for a while and wasn't subjected to these rules before. But, if you sign up to work for a Japanese corpo, you have to be ready to deal with Japanese corpo autism around subjects like "promotion of piracy" (emulation) or "lying about being part of a sponsorship" (Raid Shadow Legends joke).

I'm wondering how much she fought against her fellow genmates and senpair though, given I'm pretty sure Kotoka has a connection with Zaion since their respective indie days and she pretty much said she's "not ready to wish Zaion good luck just yet". I hope she isn't dumb enough to blow up everything by leaking chat logs, that would burn pretty much any good will she has left with the other Niji livers (and maybe destroy whatever frienships she made through her short stint in the company).

Again she already persona non grata as far as corpo vtube is concerned, so the only people she needs to pan to are old fans and indes. On the other, I also half agree with your opinion on the logs with them not being as good as people seem to believe but remember that nij used moral arguments in her firing that we both know would have been swept under the rug if she played ball. I would bet at the very least that the logs contain more off-color jokes that are the same if not worse than what was used as an excuse to fire her. So exposing the logs would further prove this is bullshit and create flack for nij as they just backed themselves into a corner in regard to moral pandering.

or done on a roommate account with no ties to her official one.
Are you even an idol company if you don't intrude on employees' personal lives?

Jokes aside, the stuff in that list sounds like grounds for a formal apology or something, not outright termination. Starting a fight with management and being generally uncooperative does sound like a reason, but not a reason they can publicly name.

My speculation is that they would've asked her to resign amicably, and she said no so they fired her.

Someone mentioned ZEA being kill soon, is all of NijiID going out? Hana went crazy tranny, just realized I haven't seen Bonnivier or Siska in a while and they haven't streamed in a month and 2 weeks respectively. Not Niji but haven't seen Pochi for two months either, but I assume that's because she has a real job.
I dont think "all" of them gonna go out, maybe one or two but not all of them. While ZEA seems to be the possibility, we still dont know about the rest.

Hana herself had just returned for a brief stream celebrating her early birthday and while is still trying to get her streaming capability in order (from what I listened, she is not in her own house and using different PC) and that she has been somewhat happier and less depresso.

Bonnivier and Siska can just be chalked with them having a job, since I remember Siska mentioned it several times on her streams. Bonni is also seen active on twitter but its last week (4th march) so he is still there, just busy.

For now though, lets just assume that ZEA would be the one who go, see the reactions of others, then guess who will go next. Maybe see if people are willing to find archive of ZEA's member stream and see if she really said it or not (like the evidence of Hana's 3D being sidelined, fot example).
