I've said as much before. Putin is a moderate who wants prosperity for Russia, and he is a pragmatic man willing to compromise or go with a more lukewarm response if necessary.
The list of people who will likely replace him are mostly composed of hardcore Russian nationalists who want the same thing for Russia, but who also blame the West (not without merit) for Russia's ills, and see us as an existential threat to Russia as a country and a people. If they can make Russia prosperous and remove the West as a threat, they'd take that opportunity without hesitation.
Even now, you have retards claiming Russia is "nearing collapse" and that the West should totally vassalize it. I don't think they understand there's always going to be someone in Russia with enough authority and balls to say "Launch the fucking nukes!" long before any Western nation gets the chance to step foot on Russian soil.

I have to ask though, how are our friends on the other side of the frontline coping with western media smearing ukrainians more and more? Are they inherently pro-media or pro-ukrainian?

More like vikings going to Constantinople, not Rome. Rome was largely depopulated at that point, and with the harbor at Ostia unusable due to silt, poor. It was under constant threat of random Arabs and eventually sacked by the Normans when it finally started to recover, but Ravenna would've been more likely to hire Viking-era mercs, as it was the western empire capital (at least until the Lombards invaded and then the Franks had everything shipped back to Aachen.)

I do wonder how long it'll be before we get the inevitable Ukrainian war films. We had multiple films about the Soviets in Afghanistan out by 1988, roughly 9 years into the conflict. Whereas 9/11 films showed up 5 years after the attacks, and "13 Hours" was just 4 years after Benghazi. So I'm guessing at least 2025.

Both actually they are retarded but also there so many things can go wrong with that country. Keep in mind this last decade they imported 1 million niggers thats 10% of the population . They also tattled on Norway who is essentially their brother in terms of relationships. My honest guess they are between a rock and a hard place . Blowing up the pipeline made the markets go nuts and the reactions of the European politicians made many businesses to realize shit is fucked they either fold or move and exabarated the inflation especially food inflation since gas is part of fertilizer peoduction and greenhouse production. Sweden has a lot of people who live in essentially prekariat most of them are retirees and asylum seekers, where they barely survive on benefits plus under the table work for pennies and i mean it . Keep in mind there is literally a line where if you cross it either there will be outright revolt or a lot retirees will need burials. Sweden is fucking cold and you need to be able to afford heat and calories, i don't if you read about England fuel poverty and how they lose elderly over it but Sweden climate is much worse . The English bitch and moan everytime when the there is below the zero sweden is -10 on average every winter. My honest guess is there will be lot of fireworks in the no go zones partially due to food inflation partially for tattling on Norway and USA and making them looking stupid.
