Dylan throwing his parents under the bus like this really reinforces the impression that trooning out was a career move. If he's willing to burn bridges with his own family in the interest of furthering his career, then he's certainly also willing to throw on a dress and humiliate himself in public. His "feminizing" surgery was probably a bunch of shit he wanted to get done long before he started LARPing as a woman. He's a social climber who will do literally anything for fame.

I do feel bad for the family, who now have to deal with being slandered as bigots by the son after spending god knows how much money to help him further his Broadway career. But I can only feel so bad knowing that Dylan had to learn his behavior from somewhere. His rich parents had to have spoiled him absolutely rotten for him to end up this entitled and materialistic. And that's before you consider that narcissism is often passed from parents to their children.
