Are there Any Woke Properties that you Unironically Enjoy?

Deep Space 9 ticks every woke box imaginable, but isn't truly (and is subsequently awesome) because it actually asks questions. I think that's what really defines woke - dogma above all else.
The only "woke" episode I can remember was the one where Sisko is being a butthurt faggot about the holodeck, and pretty much everyone shits on him for it - including the hologram in question itself.

Otherwise the show is full of people being racist and cool at the same time, and after the dominion war starts - committing war crimes and getting promotions for it.

It's been mentioned in this thread before, but Disco Elysium really is one of the most interesting games I've ever played. Anyone who deprives themselves of it just because the developers are communist or the game having a left-wing bend is missing out on a masterpiece.

I guess this film could have aspects that would be considered "woke", but it's one of the best new movies I've seen in a minute. I would highly recommend, especially at a theater if you can.

i saw almightyloli review on it, the daughter is not a lesbian for the sake of lgbt but to complicate the family drama or so i believe. I have put this movie to watch it with some one who hasn't watched it yet list

You still have proto-woke themes like guns bad, the most iconic villains being bug-eyed Nazis, straw imperialists who call the locals "savages" before getting their asses kicked, rich people bad (but not always), thinly veiled environmentalist messaging, and the quirky cosmopolitan intellectual who pops in and solves everything with his genius, though Classic has the decency to downplay that last part in many episodes.
I think the "guns bad" thing in classic Who isn't always the case. The Doctor usually tries to reason his way out of things, but he's used a gun before in lots of episodes For example

That list isn't even complete because the Doctor uses a gun in Horror of Fang Rock. Also, there have been a lot of episode where the Doctor doesn't use weapons but he just gets his friends in UNIT to start blasting. It really depends on the regeneration and whoever's writing the script. The new show is more intent on passing the Doctor off as pacifist, but he only really is if it's convenient.

I liked Stephen Universe when it first came out. But the fandom totally ruined it. Overall I don't think it was that bad. I know it got more woke. But I think in the beginning it was cute.
After season 3 it became shittier and shittier. Steven universe future will never be forgiven.

That's hard to say since I avoid anything pozzed nowadays, and it's pretty much all pozzed. But I did enjoy Mad Maxine: Furiosa Road, despite its many core flaws, and appreciated that at least some of the women got iced, which doesn't happen much in woke shit even when they push the comical myth of women being brave or selfless.

But in the eight years since, no, nothing. It's shit, man.

Bojack Horseman- It can get woke at times but I think it's way less dogmatic than most shows. It humanized Bojack (a guy most shows wouldn't have), points out Diane's toxic behavior, and shows how superficial and predatorial Hollywood is. There's a couple episodes that go a bit far but I think it did a great job with showing how most shitty people are shaped from outside circumstances most of the time, which to me is the opposite of the woke idea everyone is either inherently bad or good.

Shangchi- I enjoyed the early fight coreography and the fact that the main conflict in the movie is his dad being a simp.

Most classic rock

I unironically enjoyed Undertale despite it being kinda gay in places and the fanbase being nothing but progressive tranny teenagers on Twitter and Tumblr.
A lot of great indie games have insufferably woke/tranny developers. I don't mind though because I can separate art from the artist. A skill many people lack, unfortunately.

To answer the thread question, most of the music I enjoy was created by people with absolutely lunatic retarded views on the world. It's gotten to the extent that I think you have to be mentally unwell to create good music.

I haven't been much of a sports fan since grade school - pretty much just staying conscious enough to keep small talk with family and co-workers - but I like having Secret Base on in the background when I'm doing other stuff. They have some genuinely interesting and informative videos on sports history and generally stay out of politics, although they can't help but take the occasional jab at whitey and complain about muh racism at least once every other episode.

There's also their series on UFC written and narrated by that faggot from Chapo Trap House. I thought the history was actually really interesting, but the constant "uhm acktually the REAL reason people want to watch men beat the shit out of each other is because of capitalism and Republicans" (no, seriously) was insufferable. You could probably cut 30 minutes of content where he's just whining about Trump, Bush (both of them), and capitalism. It's a real shame because the story behind the UFC is a helluva story.

edit: also, they have some insanely Jewish-looking commentators, like this guy:

The fandom was a cesspit during its run, no doubt about that. I have first hand experience with that nightmare and while things have calmed down dramatically since then it's really ironic that for a show that actively preached things about kindness, empathy etc. that a lot of the viewers just refused to take that on board.

I haven't seen Get Out but I at least respect Peele a little for making his movie's main message be that white liberals are all closet racists that need to be burnt alive, only to be celebrated by the very people he was dunking on.

Parasite/Burning aren't really woke to me but are great at showing what a complete nihilistic shithole the world has become due to capitalism. I get the irony that these movies were then celebrated by rich fucks but that doesn't make them less great for me.

Persepolis would be considered "woke" now when it's not. Just a beautiful story about a girl growing up during the Iranian revolution. Also shows how a lot of middle-eastern people don't like a lot of their culture either.

The Platform is perfect and is more "anti-ideology" than capitalism to me.

I don't think there's anything wrong with something being "left-leaning" or made by liberals. Most media is. I think the difference between the stuff I like and "woke" shit is that even if the creator has opinions/views, they usually let the story speak for itself and add some nuance or depth.

I find that funny, too. I haven't watched the show but every time I learn more about it it seems like all of the antagonists are shown as being less evil and just people with shitty worldviews due to thier culture/upbringing and even the main characters have a lot of baggage and are far from perfect. Sugar is a massive weeb so she definitely implemented talk-no-justu a lot and most of the characters have some sort of redemption. It's hilarious how the same fanbase behind that show were so bigoted and hateful to everyone and everything while stanning it.
