Upon a cursory glane, BTS was one of the founding esports companies that handled big DOTA tournies and Smash Bros events. They've basically gone tits up because public esports events is dead and the gay drama behind Smash Bros is too much for them to put up with anymore.

and when I say gay drama, I mean a retard who does a video about someone in the Smash Bros community who is a sex pest, but then makes it about themselves by starting the video talking about some gay fucking controller they made because muh carpo tunnel and an unironic hitler quote.

Edit, because I like to rub salt in the wounds, Evidence.zip barely got over 100k views (not including Null's MATI vid and archive) meanwhile, someone around the same time did the same kind of video and got over a million views.

The other big part of BTS's downfall, was that they failed to win contracts to run DOTA Pro Circuit (DPC) events, which are regional leagues for DOTA 2. Valve instead chose to go with the lowest bidders to run the events (i.e. PGL) instead.

i dont think Leffen (main target of the spergatory videos from Hax) was ever one of the sex pests outed and has never bad touched anyone as far as people know, he was just known for being a cunty retard

I really hope this causes any esports scene to avoid Smash like the plauge, since the drama that can come from competetive smash is simply not worth it.

This was probably the real nail in the coffin. I always got the impression that DOTA 2 was paying the bills at BTS, and ever since Valve decided that they didn't want to pay more than $2 for the DPC they were never going to get that money back.

To be fair, he did finish his Chemical Engineering degree and has proven himself able to get multiple jobs in his field. Being "pro" at eSports is just easier, more fun, and at his level probably more lucrative.
