Russian Special Military Operation in the Ukraine - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

Jannies on /k/ are going absolutely ballistic over memes like that. I've had many (you)'s accusing me of complaining about feds for some reason when I'm just shitposting and posting guns.
I tried to post it on /k/ for lulz using TOR but all TOR IPs are banned by default. It won't save you, /k/ jannies!

Edit: LMAO, found an even lazier version.

Not gunna PL but that drone story is far-fetched at best, completely fabricated at worst.

Even flying at minimal speeds, trying to dump fuel on a moving aircraft is highly difficult unless you get lucky. These aren't 'slow' moving helicopters dumping water on a forest.

That said, I'm not saying it didn't happen, but there are easier, less risky, ways of bringing down a drone like the Reaper and that is to buzz (fly very close to) the drone as fast as possible and let the turbulence/sound wave/air disruption knock it out of the sky.

You would think so, but than why did that archived page confirm it? Wouldn't it be easier to laugh it off and point out? Why admit to this most memetastic of stories if there isn't truth to it?

I think everyone is mostly just having fun with the brap narrative, it's a bit far fetched, yes. Within the realm of possibility, but far fetched. Looking at just the facts, it's still unknown how exactly it happened. All we know is that there's one less drone and the Su-27 took either no damage or minimal damage bringing it down, as there were no reports of it crashing.

The official statement from Russia did not specify how it was exactly taken down, but they did mention that the Su-27 did not ram the drone or fire at the drone, implying the drone got brought down another unspecified way. The US report said it the Su-27 tried dumping fuel on it and then rammed it, bringing it down. The only thing they agree on is that the drone wasn't fired on. Outside of that, could be anything. Buzzing it, somehow successfully dumping fuel on it, etc.

For all we know it got brought down using electronic warfare, and the planes were just a cover. Or one of them could've been carrying some new counter-drone EW device, who knows nowadays. So many new toys being released every day.

We, the US, aren't bragging about bringing down any Su-27 aircraft because, well, we didn't, But Russia absolutely did bring down a Reaper.

The US could think that it is better to say it was rammed, than saying it was jammed successfully. It is still a bit of a dunking either way.

Ramming would make this flyboy become such a ghostbuster legend that the ghost of Kevin would ectoplasm his nappies, and jamming would imply it can be done by any pilot, neither is a great look.

Two things occur to me: Firstly, in WWII the British would take out V-1s by flying up to them and tipping them over with their wingtips (It's preferable to having to fly straight into an exploding bomb you just set off).

Secondly, because of the historical (and I suspect ongoing) shortage of guided air to air weapons, Russia still puts a bigger focus on dogfighting than western air forces.

So, yeah. I can absolutely imagine some mad Russian taking out a drone in a weird and memeworthy manner.

Edit: @Arc although the idea of someone sitting in an office in California, screaming about lag at the words "you died" on his monitor also tickles my funnybone.

What kind of copes and freakouts can be expected if Bakhmut falls?

So is Putin proof that the WEF and similar globalist types can be subverted in their investments? Obviously you make an enemy of them all, but it seems doable.

Maybe it is just an outside perspective but I would take Eastern European cronyism over Western cronyism any day. It seems somehow less incestuous and in-your-face.
In this case I think Chinese/Japanese corruption is significantly better:

*Try your utmost to keep it hidden.
*Don't be too greedy, a lot of little ones is better than one big one (scams)
*If you get caught, you're on your own.
Party, people and friends will hang you out to dry.
*Quit/retire/give up your job in shame, apologise on live TV and then disappear into obscurity keeping the loot you pilfered.
This fucking circus clown may as well be scripted, you can almost see the marionette strings being pulled as he shits out the narrative he's been told to maintain.
If I didn't know that girl was his daughter.

She talks like an average suburban American girl.
How dare you question her oppression.... This is totally not a glowie propaganda set up to sucker the masses. It's sooo legit, so all the rock spiders in Hollywood can comment about how poingient it is while simultaneously raping underage children to get starring rolls.
*AK-74s and AKM
Dunno ......I kind of prefer "All Terrain Camel" cos not only do you have to kill the rider but the camel is an actual threat too....smelly, bad tempered, spitting in your face then the camel does the same thing....
Russia just took down an American MQ-9 Global Hawk in the Black Sea. Sounds like it was rammed, not shot down. The most based method of aerial interception.

Not expecting any serious response from America, just kvetching from Biden and Blinken.

Was the drone on a balloon hunt?

I agree. How can anyone honestly say superior weaponry wins when Afghanistan remains undefeated. All they use is Ak-47's and all-terrain camels.
There are still gaggles of “America, Fuck Yeah!” retards that still look at war through a Cold War-era lens. They’re convinced the Russians will lose because they collapsed in 1991 thanks solely to Ronaldus Magnus and therefore it’ll happen again because they watched Rambo 3 and know that America’s weaponry has only become more sophisticated since then.

That could be just it. Wing tipping maybe less damaging than a full crash, and it may just mess up a drone's guidance system and glitch it out, or at least send it into a spiral. The memes are splendid though. A good day to be a kiwi.

If a fighter jet collides with another piece of material or equipment, more often than not that jet is going down. Either because it is damaged and can no longer maintain stable flight, or because the meatbags don't risk their lives and eject.

@Badungus Kabungus is right when he says EW could have been used to take it out. The other stories are fiction though.

Not to piss on the memes because everyone loves a meme, i'm just chucking in my two pence.

lol USAF brigadier General Pat Ryder is having a press conference right now and you can hear how assblasted they all are over it lmao

Cost of the MQ 9 Reaper: 32 million

LMAO

Well I have to quote this again since I watched the presser in full.

The cocksucker on the screen refers to the drunken slav acting "unsafe" with his plane.

UNSAFE for who?

  1. The drunken slav pilot believing his plane is made of stalinium and lives out his War Thunder fantasy
  2. The operator who smells of doritos and diet pepsi in some box in the Nevada desert
  3. The inanimate unmanned aerial vehicle commonly known as a drone
