In his latest LOCALS stream, Nose spent minutes shorter time on the haters, but he did ask 'what do people want?' The recent shows outside the Wednesday and Friday themes have been normal? He just doesn't get it...
Yes, it is called credibility ans goodwill. And you lost it. You are either willfully dumb or monumentally idiotic to have never dealt with he consequences of name-calling your audience and telling them to (literally) fuck off while you do what you want.
Edit:
His big theory is that most are romanticising the past and making it better than it actually was. He doesn't suck now, we just have bad memory.
Looks like Nick is slowly realizing that he totally burned through all the credibility he had built up over 5 years on YouTube. It's gone and it's not coming back, unfortunately. At least not easily.
Once people find out who you really are, it's hard to rebuild the image you had before. And even if he
does manage to build back up the goodwill he had, that can only take place over time, he's starting from the ground up again, so it will take years to do so.
If I had to pick out the moment where Nick lit his credibility on fire, it would be the infamous December stream in the Jamaican tank top where he said he had an MDMA hangover from the Gay 90s trip. Among other things, this clip posted by
@Shush at the time shows Nick appearing to state that his main goal in life was having sex, saying "what other thing is there for me to, like, do and achieve in life? I don't know. I don't really fucking care."
This is a father of five speaking, BTW.
How can you watch this and treat him seriously after that? This can't be put back in the bottle. You can't go from "Even the LESBIANS were hitting on me!" or whatever he was saying after going to the gay bar and go back to "Let's dig into this lawsuit."
I think that when Ralph watched this stream from Nick was the last time Ralph has looked genuinely happy at anything in life, because he knew what a win it was for him.
Isn't that the account that would tweet Rekieta's links after he got banned on Twitter? If so that's a hilarious person to have turn on him and his thin skinned friends
Yes, that's Kalea, who publicized Nick's streaming while he was banned and also (pretty sure) was a YT mod for Nick and other channels as well. As was mentioned, she was brought on the stream when Nick got unbanned from Twitter.
It looks like she's entered a similar quasi-detractor status that Elissa has. She was in the Locals chat a while ago and Sally attacked her, though I don't think she knew who she was.
Wow, that statement is amazingly passive aggressive. Probably the most passive aggressive thing to come from him yet. It's like Nick's levels of not caring reached the point where the integer overflowed and wrapped around to where he cares a lot, actually.
Nobody forced Nick to promise a gift, just like nobody forced him to promise a 24 hour stream which I'm pretty sure he's stopped even pretending that he'll follow through on. A t-shirt might be a "complete throwaway piece of trash", but it's better than nothing, which is what the Locals subscribers have right now. My guess is most of the 5,000 subscribers would have been perfectly happy with a t-shirt. And Nick is not even announcing what it is beyond "unique art", so it seems like if it's not at the drawing board stage, it might not be particularly far away from it.
Nick is very evidently feeling the heat. He appeared reluctant to crowdfund for the lawsuit because he recognized it would look bad, but I don't think he anticipated it backfiring to the point where his friends would have to disable replies for their tweets advertising the crowdfund page.
