I think he shut more due to adam all but calling Phil a quitter. He just called the one "pahsitive" trait that sir moist once ascribed to Phil a lie and that was what stung.
People compared it to having 2 dads and it really feels like craig was doing the whole "I'm not angry, I'm just disappointed" routine whenever Phil said something truly retarded. They left Phil so many opportunities to not make a complete arse of himself and yet he decided to run in head first.
Don't think too much about it, you've already put more thought into it than Phil has ever done. He's simply trying to find something believable to blame his massive expenses on (5k business, 5k personal) without saying anything that would risk his tax or bankruptcy situations.
He's known that his only legacy is that of a lolcow for ages, he's simply never been able to accept it. It's why he seems so pissy compared to people like wings or boogie, they've come to terms with that while Phil still deludes himself into thinking that he still has a shot at entering the big leagues. It's also why he gets pissy when no one's paying attention to him on stream, he hates being reminded that his "kahntehnt" is complete dogshit. The denial is the only thing keeping him going.My favorite bit from Keem today was when he was vocalizing how he possesses the skills to know what people want, and DSP Boogie and Wings do not. Not only is this just the truth, but the plainness of it and seeing DSP forced to acknowledge the truth in it was very satisfying.

The weirdest thing for all of this is that how often DSP sounded like Chris. Like the Kacey Father call, the same way Chris got roasted for think carrying milk was hard work, is the same way Phil got roasted for his absolutely asinine stories and excuses. And the weak throw backs and attempts to stand up for himself all just echoed in on each other.
