Ukrainian Defensive War against the Russian Invasion - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

Completely unrelated to the Special Military Operation, an FSB building blew up today.

Tass [archive]:

It probably wasn't a Ukrainian operation. It's not like there are a bunch of Ukrainians nearby who have a grudge and might want to weaken Russia's Security Service, particularly the component responsible for border security, which would enable subsequent incursions:

But seriously, it was probably just Russians doing something dumb. Probably smoking around a bunch of oily rags and munitions. Упс! Вупсий!

More like 8) Rostov-on- bomb

According to very serious vatnigger analysis, the entire military aged male population of Ukraine has been killed about 3 times over

Muh casualty ratio is awkshoolly very close and totally unsustainable for Ookraine is the main cope that's been clung to for a couple months now, plus its prefatory cope Russian artillery and ammo advantage so big oWo

If these things were true the ability of Ukraine to effectively fight anywhere would have ended already

On the news of MQ-9 recovery there are sat images showing that they are using 4 times more ships to find the wreck of it then to rescue Moscva tells you a lot about russians

What I want to know is what exactly they expect to find? US drones are designed to be expendable. It's not like they are going to find the schematics to an F22 on the damn thing. That assuming they even find anything at all as it probably broke apart into tiny pieces on impact.

They probably thinking it's like their "niet analog" drones so it's flight data recordings all that stuff (that probably got wiped when they decided to crash it into the water) or the very least give the wreck to Iran so they chould make a version of it so it chould be supplied to the russians or something else I mean posablitys are endless.

But its a drone from the 2001 I doubt they will learn anything new

The "Kalina" fire-control system of a captured T-90M was analyzed & found to contain mostly parts of foreign manufacture; including the French "Catherine FC" thermal optic.

According to Andriy Rudyk, during the study of the trophy sample of T-90M captured by our soldiers in September 2022, the soldiers of the Center for Research of Trophy and Promising Arms and Military Equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine established numerous facts that "Breakthrough" is the upper limit of what was able to squeeze the Russian GPK out of Soviet developments.

- A survey of the T-90M trophy sample showed that Russia not only does not produce electronics for it, but also tries to hide information about the origin of its individual components. Sometimes the situation comes down to absurdity - Russia just gives them out for its own development - Rozpíarena fire management system "Kalyna" from Russian has only markings. In addition, the engine of the tank B-92C2F comes from the engine B-2 model of 1937, which was still on the Soviet T-34 tank! That is, in this part of the T-90M conceptually belongs not to the era of reconstruction, but to the times of Stalinism. About the complete depletion of the modernization resource and the moral obsolete of this engine eloquently speaks one fact - in conditions of a hot climate (for example, in the steppes of Ukraine) its power falls to a third.

Video of a failed Russian infantry attack in Bakhmut. The Ukrainian soldier that uploaded the video said that this is normal and that the Russian commander should be promoted.

This article from the BBC interviewed some Ukie soldiers and they say that the Russians are sending out the Wagner ex-cons in small groups to get murked so they can figure out the weak spots in fortified positions that the actual soldiers can attack. They are claiming that 7 Russians are getting killed for every 1 Ukrainian death.

Edit: I still don't get why they kept dumping fuel.
~ Damage the drone's engine by causing it to ingest whatever passes for jet fuel in Russia?
~ Reduce the risk of fire if they collided?
~ Soak the thing in kerosene and set it on fire with afterburners? (this is Russia we're talking about)

....because just trying to blind/force it down that way seems retarded.

Trying to foul/stall engines and maybe blind optics.
Its mainly a spook tactic when you're trying to intimidate a pilot. You can't launch missiles, shoot guns, but you can dump fuel and say "Oh woops I hit the wrong switch teehee" or "I got a warning light and declared an emergency and then changed my mind." basically 'I'm not touching you'.

Mainly I'm surprised, that's a fairly expensive dickwave, I think Jet-A is $10 a gallon now?

tl;dr sell it to the Chicoms.

Apparently, towards the end, he starts going over the findings of some analyst who traveled to Ukraine, and his conclusions are...spotty to say the least. For example, he says that Ukrainian losses in Bakhmut are 1:1 with Russian losses, or even worse, when we literally just had reports saying that Russian losses are 5:1. He also says that we've reached the "peak of western support", and but offers nothing to actually back up that assumption.
I'm iffy on the 5:1 claim, but I do suspect the Russians are suffering far more losses than the Ukranians. Human wave tactics on entrenched defenders usually aren't good for keeping your people alive.

I know they were doing that for the initial upgrade for the T-90 in the 2000s (when they FINALLY decided to give it thermals lmao), it's mind-blowing that they're still doing it today. I wonder if they're going to start scrounging the world for spare western parts when their stockpile runs dry or if they're going to swallow their pride and start buying from China.

As a jewish eldrich god, I can confirm this is true.

We jest but there may be videographic evidence suggesting that Zelensky has posession of the necronomicon. Ukie gets shot in the head, gets back up, then wastes dude who shot him.

There's a cut in there so could be deceptively edited but if it isn't that helmet is a holy relic or some shit.
