It's interesting that Phil seems to think that when someone has 'done something' for him (ie. gave him a platform), he thinks they need to be blindly defended, and they should, in turn, then blindly defend him. He then loses his mind when the other party doesn't follow through. This explains his rigid concept of 'shilling' where he believes that any kind of sponsorship means you throw yourself at their heels and suppress all criticism, like he did with his chair sponsors.
I suspect this is also why he loses his mind in competitive games. When Phil gets a kill, he starts calling his opponent a dumbass, shit, terrible, etc. When he dies, he starts shrieking defenses - I think he believes that they shit talk him every time they kill him, like he does to them, and therefore he believes he needs to defend himself.
His concepts of business and social interactions are extremely rigid and it's multiplying this meltdown as a result.
