Nexpo/YT Horror Channels - Do they all suck

Out of curiosity, by the way... How many of you used to sneak and watch horror movies you probably shouldn't have as a kid?
My dad loved horror movies. One of his favorites was I Spit on Your Grave. Two I remember distinctly was The Hills Have Eyes remake, and The Descent. first movie made me hear The Hills Have Eyes theme when it was silent outside and I freaked out and ran inside. The second one The Descent wasn't too bad until I got jumpscared halfway through the movie with a Exorcist jumpscared for some dumb reason. No clue why that was in the movie, it had nothing to do with the movie.

Also not a movie but the thing that scared me the most was that white car advertisement. Neighbor who was my friend's mom set me up. Said she printed off some Spiderman coloring pages for me and that I needed to come get it. Said she also had a funny car ad to show me, and that if you listen closely you can hear the camera man say "fuck" or "damn it" or something. Yeah needless to say that wasn't what was in the video and I ran out so fast it left her in her computer chair spinning. Ran all the way home crying and could not be by myself in a room for like 2 weeks.

My dad was obsessed with Aphex Twin in the early 2000's. He grew up in the crowd that listened to Laurie Anderson and Kraftwerk, so I'm happy I inherited his music taste.
However, whenever he would put on the music video for Rubber Johnny, Come To Daddy or Donkey Rhubarb I would always run away to the farthest corner of the house. They have probably altered my brain chemistry in some way or another. (still love you, Dad!)
I got cable around the time Marilyn Manson was doing mechanical animals. So many weird videos around that period, late 90s were weird and dope. I didn't quite understood electronic music but always loved the weird videos from that genre.

Another channel used to play a lot of arthouse and adult animation, they later started playing anime too, thats were i first saw akira and Gits. They also played animated shorts between programs. This one's the one i was freaked out the most. Its still creepy.

I know its rambling a bit but if we are talking weird ass dark stuff that i shouldn't have seen as a kid then that channel also played Ninja Resurrection. I remember bonding with my best friend at the time over how fucked up it was. Like a dude cutting his own finger and then the finger crawls into a woman's pussy type of fucked up. The anime takes place in feudal japan but in one momment some random guy turns into a jet plane with no explanation, its 90s anime, the anime.

I find myself wishing Ninja Resurrection had gotten more episodes. If you didn't know its actually based on a novel, and there was a live action movie called Samurai Resurrection that finishes the story out... but its nowhere near as good as the anime.

As far as I know, the original novel is not available in English (though I'd love to be proven wrong on this)

I wish it did because it promised to be even more bonkers by the end but beyond the edgy factor it wasn't very good.

I watched only one video by Hannah and it was about that tumblr user that wanted to replicate Columbine with her boyfriend.
She had me interested in this story all up until, she started to discuss the tumblr user's politics and said something in lines of:

"I didn't want originally cover her (tumblr user)'s politics in this video but since I would mention them if she was right-leaning/right, it wouldn't be fair
if I didn't cover them at all."

The moment she said that, any interest to watch more of her vids vanished because it showed that her coverage of cases will be very biased.
Good on her admitting this, I guess? Did she expected a pat on the back from the audience from not choosing to be biased about something for once? I don't know, man.
Dude I had literally the exact same reaction. I looked her up after she was mentioned in this thread and I started listening to the same exact video while at work. The second i heard her mention something along the lines of "the girl is left wing. I wouldn't normally bring that up, but if she was right wing I'd criticize her." I left a mean comment and dipped out. Fuck this dumb broad.

@Lucas Baker my dad and I loved those movies too. Glad you were allowed to scare yourself shitless as a youngster. Man I'm surprised I never saw the Land of Confusion music video before, that's some cool shit right there. I love Genesis they were really on the cutting edge, Lamb Lies Down On Broadway and Cinema Show are so good. CS is a bit aged but LLDOB is a timeless classic.

Been seeing all the horror channels talk about Linkara's Winter of 83 as the next big thing in analog horror. It actually any good or is it just content for Nexpo and Nick to moan over?
I didn't even know it was a thing until I saw Nexpo uploaded a twitch video of him watching it like 3 weeks ago. I wonder how many Green M&M's will be in the video?

So New Dire Tripe and oh boy, what a cast this is but unfortunately not all that uncommon.

The tale of two people going on again. off again in their relationship and with one partner having increasingly possessive and shitty behavior. Not in the schizo type of way but rather the "insecure, aggressive idiot doesn't know how to handle a relationship like an adult" way, even threatening suicide because she left him and breaking the windows to her apartment.

Classic insecure idiot behavior, which was taken to 11 when he murdered her because she laughed at his love confession.

I might say something controversial here but as much as I clown on the man in this, I can't help but question the actions of the girl at times. It wasn't like he was beating her; they seemed both snippy at each other although he was obviously more deranged.

And it bugs me that she not only went back to dating him again after breaking up with him multiple times and breaking her own "no contact rule". She even met up with him on the day he murdered her.

I dunno, maybe I¨m just being harsh. Maybe I'm just overly anxious because if an ex of mine smashed the windows to my apartment, I'd be calling for a restraining order and moving elsewhere ASAP.

Edit: word

Nah, I think you make sense. This isn't a clear cut case of a victim and an abuser, sometimes both halves of a couple are fucking crazy. That's probably the best he could get and she must have been feeding off the attention in her own way or was just too stupid to stay away. If a person is actually sick of someone they don't draw out an argument with them for four months from the safety of text messages...

Ah, that does make me feel a bit better. As tragic as it is, it's one of those cases that could actually be involved if the girl followed her own rules. But such thoughts are highly unpopular.

Gotta say though; her laughing in his face over his love confession was extremely petty. Doesn't excuse murder however even if it's just mean-spirited.

New ScareTheater video that's kinda interesting for once
Unfortunately tho, most of the main meat of the mystery is left out due to YT's shitty copyright protection over claiming parts of the broadcast to a song some dude made using it.

Here's the actual recording for those who want to hear it.

Some people really do approach adult relationships with the maturity of high schoolers, it's a terrifying thought but emotional intelligence is a thing and not everyone gets a high score. This isn't a snarky way to call her stupid, plenty of people start literal fights and petty squabbles between their own friends and family because they're bored or don't know any other way to be and they're not any sort of a diagnosable tard with an abuse backstory. She might not seen the warning signs too, and most people assume that a man being an asshole to you =/= your potential murderer. I do think if she wasn't wasting both his and her own time she'd being doing the same thing to a more docile man and she'd still be alive, but even if she was a better person who was just trying to peace out of that dumpsterfire he's still the kind of unhinged psycho to go after her, no fanning the flames needed. It's all around unfortunate and she still ranks higher than a literal murderer.

So she made a 19-pages long document with proofs of the abuse, which is clearly meant for outside reader, only to keep it to herself? Yeah, makes total sense.
I know no one probably cares but the mods basically confirmed that it was in fact meant to be shared. They're still hiding behind the fact that she didn't share it directly, even though Mia only ever posted like two messages to the server and pretty much quit the internet

i remember my cousin's dad had a copy of i spit on your grave. i was always scared shitless of the cover for the vhs when i was a kid.
stephen king's it was funny to me when i was a little kid, then i turned like 9 or 10 and it scared the fuck out of me. funny how that works.
I walked in on the scene in the old one where Georgie is at the drain and Pennywise's teeth turn huge. Scared me so much it gave me a phobia of clowns until like middleschool lol. Another great horror movie I watched on VHS was the Rose Red movies. That shit was great and pretty fucking creepy.

New Nightmind vid:

I immediately tuned out because it’s another analog horror or ARG. I don’t find Henson muppets scary. The people who obsess autistically over Muppets just annoy me. Yeah the art is good but it’s being wasted on such an uninspired concept.
