Ukrainian Defensive War against the Russian Invasion - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

God bless them they really don't know what's about happen, do they. The US and Europe have been retooling their military industrial complexes for at least 6 months now. Millions of Shells have been put on order, including Soviet standard calibers. Several hundred main battle tanks are either already in Ukraine or on the way.

If Russia could barely make any head way now...
As other said, the shells aren't made or in theater yet.
And while the MBTs & IFVs are going to help, remember Ukraine is populated and run by Slavs so I'm moderating how high I'm raising my hopes.

Edit: If I recall correctly Ukraine is firing approx 6000 shells per day, while Russia is about double or triple of that, but my memory is a little bit fuzzy on the exact details, someone else might know.
If I remember my numbers right Ukraine was doing 9000 and Russia was doing 18000. But the daily burn is not a great number to use except for gross scale comparisons because its extrapolated. And especially for Russia, given they have the initiative right now, they have greater flexibility to adjust their average fire rate down.
Plus embarrassing ammo dump explosions are down.

Ooof that imprecision is difficult to watch.

They better watch out. The UK only has enough cannon bronze in inventory for another 85 Victoria Crosses at most. Only a matter of time until the British decide to replenish those stocks, and with actual metal from Sevastopol this time instead of the Chinese guns they've been using. And we all know notoriously light-fingered the British are...
I thought that the first cannon was almost done but they they still had reserves (a whole gun iirc) but they'd need to take it off display to start carving it up.

According to Wikipedia its just part of one cascabel left. Granted its about 22 pounds or so, but why take a cannon off a display when you can have some "foreign volunteers" that look suspiciously like SAS personnel abscond with an Akatsiya or two?

Keep in mind the only reason we have an intact German A7V is because some British snuck into no-man's-land to steal it and drive it back to their lines just because they wanted a war trophy. Never underestimate the larcenous tendencies of the Eternal Anglo.

Depending on how the war goes, it'd be captured as part of some "Crimean War" too at that! ;)

Visionary brit predicted what a London commute would look like, and wanted to ensure he was ready when he promoted to civilian.

Gentlemen, we are now the official center for retooling and reintegrating folks that have been infected with the vatnik pathogen
I suggest building a wall to not let in their insanity. And HIV. And FAS. They are all troonnnnieeees also.

Now they have another round of "when T-14 will come into battle you will se!!!!!!" and their physics department is working on microprocessor from potato.

The last time the British were in the Crimea they stole half the church bells in Sevastopol, one of which hangs in Windsor Castle to announce the passing of the sovereign, in addition to all the cannons they used as memorials back home. One only wonders what they'd take this time...

I can't wait to see the T-14M with optics from the 1970's because all of the 1980's tooling and production tech was sold off.

Gentlemen, we are now the official center for retooling and reintegrating folks that have been infected with the vatnik pathogen. Our help and expertise in derussification will be sought by desperate individuals at the end of their rope.
Let's all act with kindness and compassion towards our lost brethren.

I have not looked in that thread for a long time, but is this all they are doing? Sperging out and becoming a darn cult or what? Are there any news that are posted there?

Then the Australian army stole it from them, which the British were genuinely outraged about. The only remaining A7V is in Brisbane, all the other A7V's including the running one are replicas.

Yes but ramping up shell production is something the west actually wants to do. Companies were just waiting for concrete orders before making the investment. The time for the Russians to take advantage of a shells shortage has past.

T-54/55 spotted moving on trains within Russia. These might be for export to somewhere else (though who would buy a T-55 in 2023 that isn’t a museum) but it’s possible the vodka addled brains of the Russian MOD have done some reading of their own reports and their armor losses. Solution comrade? Provide tanks that even original RPG-7 rounds can penetrate.

It's very simple, T-72 tosses its turret when hit by javelin; T-55 will also get wrecked.
Both have big gun for shooting.
Both have the same operational range when Captain Siphonov steals all the diesel.

But T-55 is cheaper.

On a more serious note, it brings me back to the retarded (?) T-34 thought experiment: it's still relatively mobile and effective against quite a few softer targets, and at any rate, 7.62 NATO ain't piercing it.

A tonk is still a tonk

A tonk is still a tonk
So I still had hope for PT-76 vs. Leopard 1 or 2.

In cope thread now they are debating about what said polish ambassador in Paris. Strange, but some of engaded in that shitstorm are using polish sources in polish and making google-translate from polish translation of problematic statement (it was in french) to the language of Shakespear.

So, I must warn you with this:

Step 1: Exile criminal scum to Australia.
Step 2: Call upon their descendants for a war when you need manpower.
Step 3: Make a shocked Pikachu face when you realize they're no better than their ancestors.

And in true British fashion, the tank was punished for its crimes by being transported to Australia.
