So update on the Mr. Nightmare (not to be confused with the other Nightmare) situation: his infamous "every story has one part where he mentions Dead by Daylight Mobile" video was privated for awhile, but he changed his mind. So glad I downloaded this video because I want to always have a copy of this weeping hilarity.

His most recent video, about blizzard horror stories (as in stories that took place during a blizzard, not the game company) has no sponsors.

(True story, my IRL best friend told me over the phone that he watched that while his girlfriend was working in the next room, she was passively listening... and she broke out laughing around the third time he mentioned Dead by Daylight).

... And yep, apparently its become a minor meme on his subreddit.

..... I saw people saying Mr Nightmare's content dropped off. For me though he was never that good. I liked him when I was new to horror YT channels but a big problem I have is almost all his stories deal with like, "I ran into a crazy guy and happened to outrun him" or stuff like that.... there's only so many times I can hear "I saw signs of a burglar and called the police" before I get bored.

I keep hoping he'll do another video that says its explicitly about the paranormal.

No, seriously, one of Nightmare's stories (one that got animated by Llama Arts) was about this buff chad who was disturbed that some nerd followed him around. He beats the nerd up then calls the cops. That's about as "scary" as an episode of Hello Kitty.

EDIT: Also just read, Mr. Nightmare is claiming that the sprinkling of Dead by Daylight plugs wasn't his idea but was was specifically requested by the sponsor. What do you think: Possible, or just Mr. N deferring blame?

i got caught up on the monument mythos and i'm kinda torn on if i enjoyed it or not. it wasn't scary at all, but some parts were definitely unsettling and the world it's set in sounds like a nightmare

I will say for the most part popular true crime podcasts are usually good. Not all of them but a decent amount are.

You can thank the abundance of Native American tribes in that area, their vocabulary for things is next level. I haven't watched night mind for a while after trying to suffer through his house of leaves videos but I saw this video pop up in my feed and my first thought was "you're just trying to rip off don't hug me I'm scared while inserting your gay furry shit into it". Glad to know I am not the only one who thought that.

Doesn't seem to be a collaboration, just a coincidence. It's not that weird that they'd cover the same topic since it's recent and, for lack of a better term, in vogue, but the identical timing is funny.
