Muslim women in Kuwait are not required to wear abayas. (Nor are they required to cover their hair). They can wear Western clothing, and that outfit would be perfectly acceptable if it came in Chantal's size. Which of course it doesn't.

The Koran says: "O Prophet, tell your wives and daughters, and the believing women, to cover themselves with a loose garment. They will thus be recognised and no harm will come to them."

Chantal's abayas are not loose garments. Her attire would be more in keeping with the Koran if she wore an outfit like the one in the picture than those abayas that fit her like a sausage casing.

It will be interesting to see what Western clothing she will start wearing in the next few months since Salah supposedly told her to stop wearing the abayas. As discussed before, Torrid ships to foreign countries, but she is probably busting out of their largest size. Maybe she can get something on Amazon or have something custom-made in Kuwait. Time will tell.

I think there's some context missing here. Kuwait is probably the most "progressive" gulf nation (which isn't saying much), and you aren't required to wear an Abaya by law. Social norms and expectations are a very different beast, and the vast majority of muslim women in Kuwait do still wear some kind of covering, whether that is an Abaya or a Niqab. If you watch the people in the background of her videos, too, you can see that the majority of women are in at least an Abaya.

As @Random Internet Person correctly pointed out, too, she wears her Abaya as a cloaking device so she doesn't have to bother putting any effort in. I'd go as far to say that its equal parts a cover, a way of fitting in with social norms in Kuwait, and maintaining her LARP

Alright so I have calmed down. I don’t know how people stay surprised by my response to being targeted every day for hours a day by leeches and bullies but I am going to be streaming mostly on TikTok. I will eventually upload videos to both youtube channels but not for a while. The couple’s channel will feature various vlogs as usual and Ramadan content (if this bores you which so many claim but yet hold 3 hour streams watching it lol so weird) and Foodie Beauty here will be my health journey because I have joined a gym and the cool thing here is that the price apparently includes a trainer who will make up an exercise and diet plan to follow for the months I have joined. I will focus on gym and wellness vlogs and talking points etc. about various topics in my life. I will stream with TikTok only. They do have subscriptions and I love their policies on bullying. Unlike YouTube who doesn’t care about their creators whatsoever. Things that get posted here would never stay up on TikTok and believe me we report these things and they actually get taken down. I think it’s so bizarre and disgusting that people try to weaponize my past and use it against me out of malice. My past as messy as it was will continue to be a learning tool for me. I still have a long way to go but at least I am out experiencing life and the world and love which is more than I can say for those behind a crappy avatar judging our sink and thermostat for views .
