To my surprise, I've come to a place of peace with her throat clearing, which I had stopped commenting on because I went from 0 to whenever I wrote about it.

I'm fairly sure that it's a nervous tic. It may correlate with lying or anxiety or other unpleasant emotion, but no matter the trigger, if it's psychological, it's just another crack in the near-demolished facade and somehow easier to tolerate for that.

I'm going to throw myself under a bus here. If I yawn in mid conversation (I'm talking) I am most definitely lying or fibbing.

As I've grown older, obviously, I've stopped lying/fibbing but in my 20s when a man would ask "do you love me?" I would say "y---es"

For some reason in my ucked upped brain, I thought if I yawned it took away all responsibility of the answer. Haha

I’ve long suspected that too, especially as of recently. Each time she’s saying something that shes clearly making up as she goes she looks to the side, and then clears her throat. It’s becoming increasingly common now when shes talking about their marriage, her residency in kuwait, anytime she claims salad pays for everything.
