They cut and changed a lot of things. So much so that it was hard following the story at times.

Honestly, the original 02 movies in Japanese were pretty boring and just a slog. I appreciate what it was going for, but it was a pain to get to that point. And even then, they never followed up on the Adventure kids being spirited away, so I like to pretend they implied Tai and friends are trapped in limbo as toddlers. Good job, Toei.
The dubbed version was still slow, but I never had to check the clock watching it during that part, and they tried to give Willis an actual personality compared to Wallace. I do wish they kept the Adventure kids being kidnapped 'cause they could've done something with it and spliced in an actual closure, but oh well. The movie's still a hot mess, but it's my favorite hot mess.

Wallace does have a personality; he's a flirt as well as a mama's boy that likes to troll people. I actually enjoyed the slower pace of the 02 movie, especially when you find out that the original script was rejected and Reiko Yoshida rewrote it in 2 or 3 days. I've heard that it was originally supposed to be more horror oriented (like the first half) but I've yet to see that interview.
Wish they had stuck more to fight in NY, as it could have made some good scenes. The only bad thing HT did was pretty much set the basic plot for every Digimon movie going forward (Tamers, Tri, Kizuna, and probably the new one coming out)

I dunno, I really like American Dad. It's still way better than Family Guy. The Cleveland Show, The Orville and the first Ted movie are also way better than Family Guy. Don't think of Seth MacFarlane because of "muh same writing" or "muh same art style."

You're taking my cringe at realizing Roger was dressed like Tai as some sort of critique on Seth McFarlane when it wasn't. I don't watch network TV or Cable anymore and so I don't give a fuck about the dancing monkey.

He was boring in both versions, but he was slightly consistent in the dub. Like he's an American, and he only learned Japanese because of a Japanese girlfriend (lol), and yet he'll speak Japanese to his mother on the phone? When the voice-actress actually could speak good English? Fucking lol.
Damn, wish it stayed horror. Would've been neat.
But it being a rewrite explains a few things, like the spirited away plot not having closure.
Definitely, I like the New York fight a lot. It sucks we didn't get more of that, nor did we see more fights in areas like that. Everything had to be out in the middle of nowhere and shit.

So Ghost Game finally wrapped up and as predicted the ending was rushed and unsatisfactory. The ending had the worst MCsyndrome since Frontier with the other 2 being a more of a hindrance than helping. Shame since the series was overall good but the ending drops it, they should have never introduced a main plot. Ironically the opposite of Adventure 2020: mediocre show with a solid ending

Not surprised, wasn’t really expecting anything. I think the season would have been a lot better if they just went purely episodic. I also wonder if there was trouble behind the scenes.

That ending was meh, the sudden mention of aliens out of nowhere and lack of anything done with moonmilleniumon leads me to believe there was meant to be more but they had to drastically alter the writing last minute
it really feels like there was meant to be 10 or 20 more episodes and was suppose to pull a Tamers with the real enemy not being the digimon and going from there

I wonder if they’re saving things for a movie or a second season because that is the only reason I can think of for why Arcturusmon and Proximamon didn’t appear in the show. Or why moonmilleniummon didn’t go anywhere in the plot.
As for the alien thing the series and the reference book dropped a lot of hints regarding Gammamon possibly being one. Gammamon’s profile calls it a newly discovered Digimon with a link to outer space signals. He and his evolutions have a big space motif from Digivolution and attack names being based off of planets, stars, etc. I also remember some fan theories early on in the season’s run revolving around Gammamon being an alien. It did come out of nowhere but I wasn’t surprised much about the revelation.

Hate to double post but the first chapter of Digimon Seekers is out already. The translations are machine translated though so people are relying on fan translations for it.
And unsurprisingly Marc is being a passive aggressive bitch about the series already. He makes snarky comments like this every time a new Digimon property that isn’t related to Adventures comes out. He was an ass about Survive and Ghost Game when they came out too. I bet he’s still seething about nobody liking Tri.

One of Marc's simps, Airdramon is in one of the Digimon discord servers. I got a "warning" for telling someone about what Marc did to people when I was asked. Also, I just found out that The child predator Daman Mills is playing Joe in the Adventure 2020 dub...

Yikes...I'll wait till torrent sites like Nyaa have them for free. But there is only one episode I want to see so I can compare. Holydramon and Goddramon VS Millenniumon. I fear they are going to rename Goddramon to Golddramon....So far only 13 episodes are out.
