Digimon

Wasn't the reason why frontier crashed and burned because fox kids died and it was put on random rabbit ear channels like UPN? I don't think there was that much of a reach in terms of airing distributions. The death of fox kids really hurt Digimon's ability to reach the masses. I know the later on that they did utilize. Jetix. But frontier was running on reruns when it did finally move. And then we got that horrible dub of Digimon Savers later on. That was nightmare fuel. It was so bad. Thank goodness I was able to find the series subbed still. The torrent was almost dead though. I believe Ryuu Rogue subbed it. Does that name ring a bell for anyone?
Well there was Monster Rancher and Wolfpack and such and some syndicated rights to either Garfield & Friends, a couple Power Rangers episodes or a few Disney TVA shows.

The Japanese sucked, too. Was a hard watch, I don't think anyone was directed well for that season, Yoshino's voice-actress being the worst of them.

I always thought Ken digimon emperor cloths were pretty swag.

His backstory and character development were one of the few good things about season two.

No, I think Fox Kids was still around, Disney bought out whoever owned the franchise (Saban I think?) and that's why it showed up on a nothing channel at a dead time slot.

No, Fox Kids had Monster Rancher too, along with Mon Colle Knights and a heavily edited Escaflowne. Some also showed up on what was then Fox Family (interesting fact, the channel it is now, Freeform, still has the obligation to air 700 Club). Never heard of Wolfbeast.

Yes, but my local UPN (or what was UPN until 2006) had Monster Rancher, as well as Garfield and Friends and, god forbid, Wacky World of Tex Avery. Note the term written in italics, local, because it wasn't actually national. Otherwise, UPN usually airs Disney TVA stuff from either Disney Channel or ABC's One Saturday Morning.

If I recall, WB had Pokémon, Fox had Digimon, and UPN had monster rancher, which would explain why MR has mostly been forgotten (along with CDs being essentially not mass produced anymore). Disney ended up with the Digimon airing right and I believed were responsible for dubbing Frontier, and making Davis' VA be the announcer for Jettix

It could have moved there later.

Digimon has been in Fox Kids between 1999 to 2002. Only Monster Rancher, which aired on Fox Kids, have moved to Fox Family (which would be renamed to ABC Family), also from 1999 to 2002. That said, it also aired on local syndicated affiliates, which explains why it aired on my local UPN at one point.

Digimon was on Fox Family. I remember because I was a teenager and have clearer memories of it all.

Yup. As did Monster Rancher and Flint The Time Detective. There was even a weekend anime block called "Made In Japan" that aired Digimon, Monster Rancher, Flint The Time Detective, the 90's Mega Man cartoon, and Power Rangers reruns.

Digimon aired on Fox Kids on Saturdays and the reruns would air on Fox Family and on the Fox affiliates that did a weekday block for Fox Kids in the afternoon. Monster Rancher aired the first season once on Fox Kids and aired both seasons in full on Fox Family.

Also, Fox Family was far better than either ABC Family or Freeform.

Frontier did air on ABC Family and some UPN and ABC affiliates in the early 2000's, but Frontier was a shit season and only a few UPN affiliates carried it. Most people who did see it saw it on ABC Family

Now there’s a blast from the past. I still hear Monster Rancher get mentioned every now and then, usually in the context of Pokemon, but nobody talks about Flint. It was a mishmash of every other kids anime going - which even as a kid I could recognise - but I was rather fond of it nonetheless.
