How does Karl manage to keep doing a justasgood poorfag impression? It's almost like he's gone out of his way to NOT get good things and gets the jankiest setup possible.

The "liberal" gun owner audience that he's gone all-in on focusing his content towards often either don't have the money to afford high quality gear, or else just don't care to, since guns for them are often little more than a hobby or social media LARPing accessory.

More like the quasi-functional wagies who don't know how to budget, disengage from personal finance because "capitalism is bad", and then blame everyone else for the fact that they live paycheck to paycheck.

To be fair guns and accessories are little more than larping props for a big chunk of "gun culture community".

shhh you'll make the guys who think they're going to be warlords (with their DD MK18 clones, OpsCore lids, late gen NVG costing as much as a car, and "battle rigs" set up to stop multiple hits from armor piercing rifle rounds) mad.

out of all the stuff karl does, i did appreciate him testing and using gear that isnt the top dollar stuff. back when i was super into guns i was a budget conscious poor fag so seeing poorfag gear beings used was something i liked. not everyone who likes and owns guns can just drop thousands on gun + gear + ammo to run a tournament with.

To be fair to those queers, I'd sure love one of those DD MK18 clones...

What I mean is he spent just as much money if not more on his poorfag jank setup with several illuminators than if he had just got a perst3 that has a focusable illuminator with like 20 brightness settings on a dial and he knows the perst 3 exists. He did the same thing with the zenitco AK furniture and complained it was heavy despite getting the side rail instead of the top dust cover and he also knew the B33 top rail exists. He went and got an EOTech only to put it on a UTG tier chink riser when you can just get a basic cheap riser like the leupold one I use that will also fit a magnifier. He of course has a $300 BCG in a $1700 AR-15 but can't be assed to have a corresponding investment of cost into anything else. There's value (like the perst 3) and then there's just buying poorfag shit because of dumb financial decisions.

Of course Karl the Cuck buys Zentico furniture, including a side rail, you know, the stuff that's infamously heavy, and then complains about it being heavy.
Side note, don't side rail mounted optics on AKs hold a zero better than top mounted ones? If true then I don't blame Cuck for getting one, but I mean, its going to be heavier, no free lunch and all.

It's a limitation of a platform designed in the late 1940s when only certain rifles even had scopes. That being said, there are certain ways to get top mounted (dust cover mounted) optic to hold zero on an AK. All of the US ones, expressly Texas Weapon Systems, are dog shit. The most known to work system outside of going full Zenitco is getting an AK with a hinged dust cover like a M85 or M92. If you mount a rail for an optic between the hinge and the rear sight, it's the strongest part of the dust cover and will usually retain zero in Semi mode. I've personally attested to this with several of my own rifles though I am sure mileage will vary.

Zenitco short handguard and b33 top cover adds very minimal weight since you are adding very little material because it replaces OEM parts. It's not even half a pound combined iirc. The side rail adds about a pound on its own and more height over bore.

Well shit. I swear weight has been a running issue with zentico stuff. Maybe it was only their older stuff? IDK, AKs aren't my thing.
Regardless, if you're right then Karl really is a cuck, whining about half a pound. (how do you even notice that amount of weight?)

The Zenitco is too heavy thing has always been a meme with /k/ faggots and guntubers with no upper arm strength whatsoever. The kit adds maybe a pound to what is already a heavy rifle to begin with. Keep in mind this is the weak faggot that helped make a plastic AR, so I'd take any criticisms of his about weapon weight with a dump trunk of salt.

My point was Karl COULD have added only a little weight, but he picked the heaviest possible Zenitco setup and then made it into an issue for himself. He does shit like pick the KP-15 lower which is only 4 ounces ligher than basic bitch milspec m4 with the basic stock and then ADDS 4 ounce heavier JP SCS recoil spring/buffer system and negates the entire weight savings with the polymer lower and makes it cost more (negating its only other advantage besides profit margin.) You could just have a regular buffer of a similar weight and flatwire spring (KP-15s can't have a flat wire spring) and it will be smoother than any JP SCS bullshit for 25% of the cost and you're not beholden to JP for tuning buffer weights.

You can go buy a Colt 6720 (lightweight barrel 16" barrel M4gery) and put a flatwire spring in it and it will be half a pound heavier than the WWSD, come with iron sights, cost half as much, and not recoil like an AK when shooting full power ammo unlike the WWSD rifle. You just have an H buffer and shoot full power milspec ammo and the 6720 ejects perfectly at 4 o clock and it's how an AR-15's recoil SHOULD feel. By the time you add a sight to the WWSD the weight differences start becoming hard to notice.

I remember that shit irritating the hell out of me when he released those spetsnaz-themed long range shooting match videos.

He kept highlighting the fact that he based the setup on real loadouts used by Russian military special forces during operations in Syria, but then the examples he showed were all FSB/national guard counter-terror units taken during shooting competitions.

News flash, idiot: The kind of shit domestic counter-terror teams bring to glorified 3-gun matches isn't going to align well with what light infantry is carrying around in the desert for hours at a time. You aren't going to find many photos in Syria of recon/SF guys walking around with full Zenitco setups.

to add to that, he kept complaining about how "front-heavy" his setup was, blaming the handguard, somehow failing to realize that the bigass bipod he had attached fully forward might be contributing to that. That was the first time that I realized Karl might be kind of an uninformed blowhard. I could never have guessed just how bad it was.

*me and my SKS just sitting here, along with a surplus chest rig i got of amazon*
But seriously, a semi auto, and a pistol, even a J frame revolver like mine, with a good holster, is better than none at all. And if you're well drilled, know how to take care of your weapons, know them by heart, and spend your cash dumping money into their ammo and upkeep costs, i'm just saying, i'm going to feel a whole lot better than the guy with a 20 pound AR with features he doesn't even use or need.

I think you were looking for the .40 but I saw these & remembered you.
