But seriously, a semi auto, and a pistol, even a J frame revolver like mine, with a good holster, is better than none at all. And if you're well drilled, know how to take care of your weapons, know them by heart, and spend your cash dumping money into their ammo and upkeep costs, i'm just saying, i'm going to feel a whole lot better than the guy with a 20 pound AR with features he doesn't even use or need.
honestly you cant go wrong with a good sks. drill with it so you dont fumble the reload using stripper clips, know how to accurately shoot, channel the spirit of the korean roof snipers and you'll be fine.

Re weight saving: Plenty of roided out actual special forces operators are obsessive about weight savings to the point of grams. The whole carry an unnessiarily heavy rifle like a real man thing is fake macho bullshit.
Of course they are. They are expected to carry those rifles around for long periods of time, while under stress and on very little rest. Karl and 95% of competitive shooters out there only really have to feel the weight of their rifle at the range or during a stage. Maybe while hunting. They can just work out a little harder and not spend another 300 bucks saving an additional two ounces.

Hell, looking at how puffy Karl has been looking lately, I'd say he'd do well go to back to working out regardless of how light he makes his race gun.

Ah yes, this boutique M4 variant with all the usual doodads USSOCOM packs is somehow magically pounds lighter than a SOPMOD Block I or Block II.

I never said anything about pounds. SOCOM went with the shitty Geissele MK16 handguard that has extreme flex induced POI shift for the URGI program just because it's 3.7oz lighter than the Daniel Defense RIS II.

And here's an American Special Forces soldier using a Lancer carbon fiber handguard on his HK416. Guess he's just a scrawny fag who needs to hit the gym.

Yes. Weird fupa slightly hanging over the belt line just like the memes portray. How they have that despite being in supposed top tier shape I don't know but they should go to the gym and get rid of that.

shhh you'll make the guys who think they're going to be warlords (with their DD MK18 clones, OpsCore lids, late gen NVG costing as much as a car, and "battle rigs" set up to stop multiple hits from armor piercing rifle rounds) mad.
Hey buddy wtf?

Also MK18s are overrated. It’s Sig rattlers in 300blk with cans that are the hotness btw

"HURRRR LOOK AT THIS ELITE OPERATOR HE'S DOING IT RIGHT!"

Even Karl is not that cringey.
I didn't say that. The only point I'm trying to make is that people who are not LARPers also care about weight savings. Caring about weight savings doesn't automatically make someone a weak LARPer.

If someone said "it's easier to deadlift 180 pounds than 200 pounds" and you respond with "just get stronger" you're a moron and completely missing the point.

Just get stronger. It's not that hard.

Best case scenario: that Paul guy is a glowie.
Worst case: he’s gonna end up pulling an Anders Breivik. Dude seems unhinged if you go through his tweets.
Paul is a glowie for what it's worth.
Probably unhinged since people doxxed him for being in league with Tranch and then associating with the account who doxed Admin Results.

I understand your clarification, but I still hold that, within the parameters of what your bone density can tolerate, "just get stronger" yields much more long-term value.

You come off as someone with noodle arms.

Go look at the Delta force cag kits. It's almost all 416s with eotech, magnifier, wilcox riser, lpvos, peq, light, and the G 416 rail for the most part. Those aren't exactly the looking to shave weight crowd 's choices for kiting out a gun that is already heavier than a DI AR-15.

Most of these SOCOM guys don't give a shit about this level of stuff in regard to their guns. It's really as simple as that for the most part. Actually caring about your kit and gun is something that happens more outside the military any way you want to slice it by unit, branch, etc. It's all that extra interest and caring about guns along with trying to come up with hypothetical cases of utility that gets all these weird choices in guns and AR-15 builds where, for instance, Karl would rather have a weight target than a performance target or a reliable gun for that matter with the WWSD.
