Thus, she could do visa runs for 3 1/2 years, if she can last that long. All the interest on her debts will keep accruing. Canadian passports are valid for ten years. It will take more than that to break the Teflon Gunt.
Canada passports are 5 or 10 years. The 10 year is the most cost effective (it only costs a bit more than the 5 year, not double.)

Either way, most countries embassy can renew/replace your passport, you don't need to go back.
