The paradox of tolerance seems to be very applicable to leftists and blacks. The more leeway given to their ideas the more they intrude and attempt to displace all of the tradition and culture of the past. And to be clear, it's only the right that can be displaced because it's the only ideology that dominated for centuries up till recently. Troon and black worship are all new things that can only be displacing not displaced.

I don't have the debooonking infograph to hand at present, but (((Popper's))) "intolerance for intolerance" schtick was specifically in regards to street violence. It doesn't cover "hate speech". (((Popper))) most likely would not have understood the idea.
Ironically enough liberals nowadays tolerate street violence and abhor "hate speech," the exact opposite of his intention.
That's the real irony here. Speaking as a Literal Neon Yahtzee, I can at least respect (in the rhetorical sense) the argument that, for example, the good Dr. Goebbels's tactic of marching into Berlin's most communist-aligned pub with a phalanx of Brownshirts and delivering an inflammatory diatribe (he really did this, and it worked) might be reasonably condemned as falling outside the confines of democratic sensibilities. One might, indeed, further condemn the Stormtrooper tradition of punching leftists in the face instead of listening to them as positively illiberal. That, and only that, is the level of intolerance that Karl (((Popper))) condemns in his oft-quoted work on the paradox of tolerance. Anything less is just part and parcel of politics, if you will forgive the employment of an aged meme.
