Most homes would still be weary of Chris, that's probably why it took so long for them to find him a bed. It honestly depends on the home. Some are given free reign of community and told they just have to be back by a certain time. Some are given free reign of the home itself and just have a lights out time. Some are told they must be out of their rooms during day hours (ususally 9 to 3) and only in communal areas and are only allowed into community for medical appointments and require 1:1 workers if out for them.

Hard agree. He's probably in one that's more medically inclined given his psychiatric state and history of home surgery and back alley hormones. A lot of those places- especially for people who need mental help- are framed as group homes but are really more of an assisted living situation with constant supervision.

On top of that, set rules aside and the CNAs and staff of group homes and assisted living do NOT get paid enough to treat their patients with empathy and kindness- especially not state run facilities. My grandmother is in a Medicare assigned ""assisted living facility"" now and the dumb niggers that work there let her charge her phone and pay her bill for the first time in MONTHS today because she finally worked up enough energy to throw a tantrum. (Yes, I am working on getting her out of there.)

In any rehab, group home, assisted living or care home situation, if you're not paying at least 5K/month out of pocket you're getting abused and isolated regardless of the rules.
