There is no guarantee he has any access to internet in a group/boarding home. Most only have if lucky a communal computer unless you have moeny to kit your room out with stuff which is unlikely because your benefits go to the home and you if lucky get a measely 30 dollar or so monthly allottment.
If he can use a communal computer to send out emails or have conversations on a messaging platform maybe a ween will throw him a bone and send him a Chromebook. It could be a cheap used one but if he got a new one, they start out really cheap and you can actually get ones decently capable of gaming in the $400s.

He’s not being involuntarily committed though, so they can’t force him to stay in the group home. The instant he realises he won’t be able to blow his tugboat on toys and junk food he’ll kick off the homeless saga on his own.

Commitment would have nothing to do with being in a group/boarding home. He techniquely has no permanent address since he cannot return to his mother's home. And they cannot just release him to be homeless especailly since his crime was sexual in nature and against someone with dimished capacity. There can be rules placed on his living habitats that are related to him being bonded. Also, this was court ordered and a court can order him to a group/boarding home as a requirement for his bond or simply as a requirement to not be in jail.

I'm not sure why so many people think they are just going to let him merrily go on his way. If that was what they planned he would not have spent over a year in jail.

They can only impose those requirements while his criminal case is awaiting final disposition. After that requirements which restricted his life would be imposed through civil processes, and any attempts to have Chris placed under some type of guardianship, civil commitment, or community treatment orders would need to be initiated by someone.

I've never heard of that song. I wrote a limerick.

Another CWC limerick, though out of date:

Chris Chan was an odd duck
In love he just had no luck
Then he tried trooning
But lesbos weren't swooning
So he gave his ol' mum a good fuck
It almost perfectly fit the song, it was uncanny. I'm just a motherfucker baby, went straight to jail cause I'm not that crazy, ooooh, oh-ohhhh oh owwwwaho.

I have had clients who were bonded or even paroled with an obligation for treatment or housing in group/boarding homes with mental health treatment under court order without involuntary commitment. Ususally it is done as a "you do this or you will be committed" secnario. So it is possible. There may be more too it though that I do not know since I do not work in legal, but in psychological areas.

In the end though as others have said this is all speculation. And I can only speak of my experiences in my state which is not where he is.

Hi I been a lurker until now but I joined just to ask if you guys think this is real or just a troll?

Is he dead? As in someone killed him? We have not seen or heard anything from him since his release. It's odd, maybe he's just worried about giving out info.
He got on the bus from the prison. At some point he got off the bus, someone either on the bus or at the bus stop saw a target, hey come into the woods here and I'll give you a big bag of lego!
No body was ever found

What is that shirt? It’s giving me a headache.
Is the shirt lopsided or is Chris wearing it pulled up on one shoulder? Why does it look so extremely baggy, don’t they give prisoners new shirts after they lose weight?
Someone pointed out when he first appeared in it that it's probably designed that way. Lots of people wear striped shirts, but that one is going to really stick out so he won't get far if he escapes.

In addition to what I said before, here are some truths:

By the time of the August 8 court appearance, Heilberg will have been working pro bono for two years. The Judge is going to want to relieve him of that burden. To explain:

Charlottesville, VA is home to Monticello and The University of Virginia, founded in 1819 by Thomas Jefferson. The lawyers in Charlottesville like to consider themselves as genteel, old-school Southern Gentleman, and will help Heilberg get free of this albatross by stretching rules and turning heads. If you have paid attention to the Murdaugh case, the old boy network in C'ville is very similar.

Charlottesville is majority white or white adjacent. They consider themselves better than the Richmond (state capital) and Northern VA (liberal heathens) lawyers. They are upholding the tradition of Thomas Jefferson. They will maintain this appearance of gentility at all (reasonable) costs. The Unite The Right rally dismayed them, not because they disagree, but because it brought undue attention.

I don't think Gateway Homes is where Chris is- unless a big favor from a prominent person was brought in, Gateway states that " No registered sex offenders or individuals that have committed a sexual offense will be considered" . That's why I mentioned the old boy tactics and stretching rules.
It's entirely possible that Chris has been transported somewhere else in the state, in a "State-Run" facility , just to let Heilberg off the hook. If they can wrangle him until August, Chris will be "free" in a different jurisdiction, and becomes someone else's problem.

Just a guess.

I've been busy so I haven't combed this entire thread yet but I work in a field where we take care of tards on Chris' level in a group home setting and provided it's part of their care plan and restrictions are put into place by someone like a conservator or a POA or in some rare cases a psychiatric specialist then the whole internet restriction thing could be a realistic possibility. however, even in the most extreme cases this is rare. with that being said though, given CWC's past antics and notoriety it wouldn't be a surprise for this to happen. although it WOULD be in his best interest health-wise....it would definitely be the end of christory. but let's face it fellers, our little Sonichu isn't going to comply with that. whatever the cause for his internet absence may be, we will hear from him soon enough. provided some psychopath ween didn't bail him out just to eat him or some shit.

Psych patient dumping isn't just the good ol' boy system, that's the entire country's system.

At any given time, there are hoards of psych patients being kicked from in-patient care, to hospitals. From hospitals, to other unsuspecting hospitals. And then from those hospitals, back to an unsuspecting group home, who will then inevitably kick them back to the hospital, where they will land back to in-patient psych.

It's a revolving door of "get this fucker out of here".

“Why hasn’t Chris posted yet?” He had it in his head at one point that he could punish us by not talking. If he has enablers reinforcing that idea it could be a continuation of why he hasn’t been writing letters.

Again, not saying this is what is happening, just that it’s possible.
Being punished by someone who raped his mom feels bad bros.
