Cathy worked for reason at one point and was trying to become a thing in libertarian circles (I think perhaps as a college student, reason often used to hire interns for their web content), then, like some others, switched over to that "sex positive" stuff and gradually became more and more about it as her focus. Good to see she's doing OnlyFans at 37 to empower herself.

So, @Sprate Header dm'd me many months ago (not sure when, but my first notes on the topic are from December 2022, so around then maybe) asking me if I'd be interested in writing about this group.

I read a bit about them, and did some surface level Googling, but because I'm lazy I didn't really begin writing, researching, and archiving in earnest til early March. So roughly two months (plus 2 or 3 months of procrastinating lol). I'd mainly write for an hour or two every day after work. No writing on weekends. Can't let this become your life.

Don't get me wrong, I'm part of the large chunk of the population that think that child abusers should be hanged and forgotten (even though our governments don't want to let us do that for some reason), but isn't being attracted to children something they can't control, like being attracted to men?
When I see people like that I honestly pity them on some level. It's like a disease they live with (often because they were diddled themselves) and have the moral duty to fight against all their lives.

We should be thankful to have normal sexualities and attractions. Imagine being exclusively sexually attracted to children, men, grannies, animals, feet. What a terrible thought.

I think a paraphilia is more like an out of control sexual fetish (which usually harms others in some way) rather than a sexual orientation. I'm not an expert, so I'm sorry if I'm wrong.
Also, look up John Money who popularised the term paraphilia. Human experimentations and paedophilia abound.

But yeah I agree, I really feel bad for a lot of them. If it really is something a person can be born with, it's a true curse. Like a congenital defect.
But if so, then it's something like ASPD: sure, it sucks to have, but if a social movement was started campaigning for psychopath rights, it would only result in a lot of harm done to innocent people. A pathology being a natural occurrence doesn't mean it needs to be accommodated for in everyday society. It sucks that it's hard for pedos to get help, but groups like Prostasia don't help - they just seek to blame society for the actions pedos commit
