Bam Margera went on a tear, screaming at his estranged wife in a Burbank restaurant as she ate with their child ... minutes before his public intoxication arrest.
The video shows a clearly agitated Bam going nuclear Wednesday on Nikki Boyd, and it appears he's upset because she's not allowing him to spend time with their 5-year-old son, Phoenix.
At one point, Bam tells Nikki, "Phoenix has his own mind." Bam says his son wants to see him and yells at his estranged wife, "Let him have his own mind," punctuating his claim by stomping on the ground.
Before storming out of the restaurant, Bam screams at Nikki, "Why are you making me wait f****** five days? F****** f***!!!"
Remember ... when Nikki filed for legal separation from Bam back in February, she asked for both legal and physical custody of their son ... because she says Bam was not sober during a previous visit with Phoenix.
Folks inside the restaurant tell us Bam came in by himself and approached the table where Nikki and Phoenix were sitting ... speaking with her for a little while before losing his cool.
TMZ broke the story ... cops in Burbank responded Wednesday to a call for a disturbance at a Thai food restaurant, and when they got there they found Bam arguing with his wife. Bam was arrested for public intoxication.
The former "Jackass" star recently vowed to be a more present father, even getting Phoenix's name tattooed on his face.
We reached out to Bam's camp for comment ... so far no word back.

That's a video of someone who never matured having a meltdown. I can understand if you're single parent and wanting to have joint custody of your child. However, Bam comes across as someone who I'll never let watch my pets if I weren't home. Dude is unhinged.

Bam is the reason I have trouble believing in the concept of "rock bottom." Every time I think he can't get worse -- and this is a guy who was clinically dead, no less -- he breaks through the earthen crust to find a new low. Granted, he's still privileged in the sense that he can let his brother foot the bill for a 40k-a-month stay at a rehab that enabled his addiction, instead of sucking dick by the train tracks for money like he deserves, but it's crazy to see how he singlehandedly fucked over any chance for visitation in just one month: the domestic violence charge, the face tat, bitching about his ex/her lawyer on socials yet again, and now public intoxication while traumatizing his kindergarten-age goblin. Probably would have been better for Phoenix's mental health if Bam had just died on the ventilator.

There was NO OTHER WAY for Bam to show his presence to his child. He simply could not:

* Stop drinking/doing drugs
* Stop tarding hard out in public
* Stop shaming the Margera name (leave that for ol' dead Don Vito)
* Get/keep a job
* Go to school/learn a trade
* Take up a non cringe hobby
* Show his mother and father respect
* Show his wife respect and respect the sanctity of their marriage
* Model sane and sober behavior for his son
* Actually show UP for his son. Clean. Showered with soap and hot water.

He HAD to do this. To show Nikki, Phil, and APE. There was NO OTHER WAY.

The slurred ??? gibberish is him mocking Nikki with the initial, "Well Phoenix, maybe it should be five days." Otherwise, accurate striggoi translation.
