Careercow Brandon "Bam" Margera - From Jackass to Lolcow

he was pretty popular already just on a more local scene, he was always the darling.

I understand how Ryan Dunn dying wrecked him and broke his mind. Up until that momment he experienced nothing bad happening ever, everything was a success for him no matter how dumb or reckleslly he acted. He got nothing but perfect rolls until his 30s.
You're just feeding into his addict mindset, he was already a piece of shit before Dunn died. And as many people have pointed out in this thread, he just used Dunn as an excuse to drink/drug/party.

He was a drunk and an asshole long before Dunn died. Dunn's death is just an excuse he uses that some people inexplicably buy, but he was a severe substance abuser and a completely arrogant asshole well before then.
They really couldn't disprove that it wasn't the case ( it's a real motherfucker to do that in the real world. ) I have watched plenty of podcasts, interviews, tweets and so on about him and his behavior before and during and after his time in Jackass/CKY and currently where he is now and it all makes a lot more sense. But no one IRL is going to have that much time or reason to.

Ryan went off to do home wrecker ( prank show ) not because he was famous enough to do so but really he had enough of Bam being full of himself. While it didnt go as far as Viva La Bam it still was his repreive from the total shitbag bam had become. This is mentioned in the novak podcast and sadly I don't have a timestamp off the top of my head but look at how solo bam was right after VLB ended. They were sick of him.

The "Ryan Dunn wrecked him" narrative is such bullshit. Dunn was part of Bam's first intervention. He was also around during the radio show era when Bam was fully unhinged and doing every drug. Also his community might not have always hated him and his family, but it definitely started before he was in his 30s.

It definitly had some effect but the idea it was the tipping point is really anyone who didnt know better. To say it didnt make thigns worse is a lie that was overshadowed by everything else all at the same time.

He even popped up at a dispensary which is weird because he’s never been a weed guy

This guy is a case study in continuously being a monumental fuckup and still managing to keep a retarded fanbase who refuses to acknowledge his fuckups.

I watched Terminator 2 over the weekend and then I went down the Edward Furlong rabbit hole. Two peas in a pod. At least Furlong was in some awesome movies.

It appears that the relationship between those two has seen better days. Valo would be smart to keep his distance- unless he professes himself to be utterly gay for Bam and wanting to be in a relationship with him*, there’s literally nothing else he could say that would resonate enough to wake Bam up. He ignores appeals to consider his wife/kid/family as is.

*and it’s optimistic to think that even that would motivate Bam at this point.
I wonder if the irl Valo was flattered or weirded out by Bam playing a character named "Valo" in Haggard? Seems like some skinwalker shit to me

Jesus Christ he looks like shit.

I don't keep up with Bam happenings but reading through this and seeing what's become of the guy really bums me out. Minor pl but years ago every now and then he'd turn up on the drag, usually not sober. This one time I saw him get tossed out of a bar and clocked by some lady.

Slightly off-topic, but Compton Terry had his case settled:

Last year on July 27, 2021, former Baker Pro - Terry Kennedy punched his friend and fellow skateboarder - Josiah Kassuhan, which turned out to be the cause of his unexpected and tragic death.

TK (Terry Kennedy), his girlfriend, and Josiah stayed together in a hotel at Oakbrook Terrace. The night before the tragedy, they were known to have been getting wasted despite TK knowing he had to drive or be driven to the airport the following morning.

An argument allegedly broke out on that morning between TK and his girlfriend as she was too drunk to drive from the night before. He was then said to have been getting aggressive towards his girlfriend, at which point Josiah had spoken up and tried to calm TK down.

That is when things went south and TK got out of the car in a rage and punched Josiah in the face, which led to him falling with brute force, accidentally hitting his head on the concrete. This then caused bleeding in the brain, resulting in the main cause of death.

TK's attorneys argued that for him to be found guilty of murder, the prosecutors had to prove that TK had previous knowledge that throwing a single punch "generated a high chance" of killing someone or critically wounding them. In conclusion, TK was found guilty of two counts of aggravated violence and the murder charges have since been dismissed.

Terry Kennedy remains in the DuPage County jail, awaiting sentencing on the aggravated battery convictions.

Professional skateboarder and television personality Terry Kennedy has been sentenced to five years in prison for an attack that fatally injured a Wheaton man.

DuPage County Judge Michael W. Reidy sentenced Kennedy, 37, on Tuesday.

Reidy found Kennedy guilty of aggravated battery in December but acquitted him of first-degree murder.

Kennedy, of Long Beach, California, appeared in several MTV shows, some skateboarding video games and a music video for Snoop Dogg's "Drop It Like It's Hot" song. He co-founded the Fly Society clothing and music brand.

He was visiting his girlfriend in Wheaton in the summer of 2021. He became friends with Josiah Kassahun, 23, of Wheaton, a fan who recognized Kennedy when Kennedy was out skateboarding one day.

When Kennedy was to return to California on July 27, 2021, he, his girlfriend and Kassahun spent a night at a hotel in Oakbrook Terrace, with Kassahun and the girlfriend drinking that night and early the next day. In the morning, the girlfriend and Kennedy argued when she told him she was unfit to drive him to the airport and suggested he take an Uber.

Kassahun told Kennedy to "calm down." Kennedy and Kassahun got out of the car, and Kennedy punched Kassahun in the face. Kassahun fell to the ground, hitting his head on the pavement. The girlfriend told police Kennedy then kicked him. But during the trial, she said she was not sure about that.

Kassahun suffered internal injuries, a fractured skull, a broken eye socket and bleeding on his brain. He underwent emergency brain surgery but died four days later.

Also on Tuesday, Kennedy pleaded guilty to one count of threatening a public official and was sentenced to five years in prison on that charge.

While being detained by Wheaton police on July 28, 2021, Kennedy threatened a police officer nine times, including referring to the murder of a police officer in Whittier, California.

Kennedy must serve at least 50% of each sentence before being eligible for parole. He received credit for the more than 1½ years he has spent in jail awaiting trial and sentencing.

Back when I was a teenager in the 2000s, Bam was the guy who all of the skateboarding Kyles wanted to be like, but nowadays, yeah, like I'm sure plenty of others have said here before, boy how the mighty have fallen. Personally, I've always considered him as sort of a douchebag who's so full of himself, and could never take it as well as he could dish it out.

Chad Muska was the guy back when I used to skateboard. I don’t think anyone down here revered Bam as anything other than someone from Jackass.
