Resident Evil - Virgin Vampire Wine Mom vs Chad Magnetic Lebowski

Just beat the remake. Got the lowest rank but I took my time playing so it's only natural.

Overall it's very solid, I enjoyed it. The game got much easier for me once I reached the castle, mostly thanks to having stronger guns and more health. Chapters 5 and 6 were the roughest. Biggest complaints are that Ada's VA is atrocious, the knife mechanic is needlessly annoying, and the enemy AI still feels way too aggressive. The good outweighed the bad though. Luis' voice actually grew on me, and while I don't necessarily think Krauser's is bad, he really should've been less raspy and more deep.

I can't tell what's the worst part of this
1: This IRL version of Kotaku is dilating about something which is optional & not even affecting him.
2: He conveniently forgets the nude Leon mods exist, alongside Tramp Stamp Leon, Banana Hammock Leon, Thong Leon, Nude Luis, & way more.
3: Ashley's breathes like an asthmatic pug, her panting is bugged from what I've seen, so she does it all the time.
4: He's a fucking hypocrite who simps on Lady Dimitrescu so hard that he almost borders on trannydom.

Can't find this one so no archives, but it proves he's been simping since day 1 of her reveal.

CV is one game I don't think I would mind major changes to the game world since for one, most of it is boring as fuck and two it's pacing built around it and backtracking is painful.

RE4R like I mentioned pages back is how you trim some fat without destroying it. RE4R main issue is that the movement in it is shitty compared to even the games right before it. You had a stranglehold on Leon's movement in the original and they limit that here for "realism." And removing lasers was idiotic since now unless the laser is on your gone (when it's just pistols now) you're not guaranteed to hit what you're aiming at. This is why RE4 OG will still live on and continue to be played since it's more responsive to the player. And the other sticking point is Ashley's bad AI. It's like if you're not looking at her, enemies teleport to her to grab her. The cemetery section is awful the first time, at least for me.

It's still a 9/10 game but it's just got these little things that drive me nuts. I'm just glad the running speed is good and not that fast walk shit from 2make.
So what's your opinion on how they changed things? What woke shit is there?

Wonder if this’ll be another situation where nexus removes mods for ridiculous reasons, but still doesn’t remove literal porn mods. Btw, I’m referring to when Nexus removed the Spider-Man mod that removes the fag flags.

IIRC, I've heard they already removed the nude Leon mods.

nexus is already banning several mods that make Ada and others playable ahead of Mercenaries & Separate Ways, and even Ashley-based mods (playing as her or nude i guess) are being put under lengthy reviews. can't tell if their standards are getting worse or capcom is pulling a sony (during the last of us 2 scandals) and trying to dictate things on the internet.

Finished it on normal last night, and have to say I really enjoyed it. Stuck closer to the original than I was expecting, with some of the tricks I'd learned previously still working (although not the one where you'd upgrade weapon capacity and it refills the ammo sadly). However it had enough changes to keep it interesting, and the bits they did remove were parts I didn't really miss. Adaptive difficulty feels like it works well and I always had just enough ammo, there was only one point where it felt like I only got through by luck (trying to get the 3rd statue head in the castle). Whilst I know it's not something we should be praising, the fact I also didn't experience a single noticeable framerate drop, glitch, bug or crash does feel surprising in this day and age.

I never liked that pock marked faggot.
So what's your opinion on how they changed things? What woke shit is there?
I think they did a good job reworking or remixing a lot of areas without destroying them. Some sections are shortened, but they flow better. My biggest complaint is just how shitty it plays compared to the hyper reactive controls of the original.

No wokeness that I can see other than having Ada show no skin and changing Ashley to wearing shorts than a skirt.

I'm doing Professional right now. With the village, your best bet is to just run away for five minutes. Salavador spawns in even if you don't go in the house after two minutes. I tried dropping him for his treasure but he's an absolute tank in Pro it's not worth it. Del Lago is infuriating and I'm trying to beat Gigante right now. The faggot dog cutscene takes forever to trigger.

So far my only problem with RE4R (as someone who's only watched DSP play it for now) is the tinnitus sound effects and shit when danger is near. I'm sitting there, watching Phil complain and start having a "Oh, my tinnitus is acting up again." Only to realize it went away when I went to the bathroom, and came back when I got back to my desk. Who the fuck thought that was something to put in the game?

Well I didn't get on with RE5. Too clunky and dated, and of course it was from that era of gaming where co-op was the trend of the day so babysitting AI characters is shit.
Trying the Dead Space remake, but it's not grabbing me by the nipples like RE4 did...I literally finished that in two sittings

It's official. The single worst aspect of the game bar none, is Ashley's I N F U R I A T I N G AI. People bitch about the original? She was glued to your left ass cheek the entire time. In this? She's typically thirty feet behind you and as soon as you look away, a ganado teleports to her to pick her up. It's controller breaking bad in professional. I'm currently stuck where you need to escort her to the cabin and it's excruciating.

So HUNK has the same outfit from 2make. That's fine. His outfit in RE4 OG was more of a retcon canon look from RE2 anyway.

Biggest complaints are that Ada's VA is atrocious
I agree with everything you said but this is easily my biggest contention. No joke. Her acting, coupled with that cunty voice, is so terrible that I've changed the language on my second playthrough. Everyone else is okay, if passing, but she makes me furious.

I tried out most of the languages and found that italian sounds the best overall, like a gravelly apanish. Ada's actress is fun and sultry sounding in Italian, but all the other languages make her sound that way. I can't believe the english is so fucking bad.

I played the OG to death across different consoles, including the PS4 release. I beat it Professional multiple times in the past and beat it Hardcore on my first run here.

I played through Hardcore while caring for a newborn. He slept on me for most of it.

I have only a few complaints with the game apart from iffy VA choices.

I liked the U-III fight. I found it to be one of the most memorable and scary sequences in the game and I wish it wasn't cut. It's probably be reserved for Separate Ways, but still.

In that same boat, the knights weren't nearly as scary and the dogs/wolves look silly now. I could've done without the cartoonish designs.

I also didn't mind the Mine Thrower. The Crossbow is ehh. Feels kind of ugly to handle.

The Salazar fight is fucking dumb, as is the wrecking ball scene, and the Regerator body bag room with the timed door (you know what I'm talking about). Thank goodness you can get through there without triggering them.

In ny opinion, the doesn't have enough breathers or breaks in it. The OG had a lot a quiet open spaces to regather yourself, find velvet blues in fountains or whatever, shoot some crows, etc. I felt like it jumped from one setpiece to the next way too quickly and didn't leave much room for the player relax or explore. The world feels smaller and as a whole, it's kind of exhausting to play.

I freaking love it, though. I can't believe they changed so much without it pissing me off.
