The X-Files Creator Teases Ryan Coogler’s Possible Involvement In Disney X-file - reboot New, More Diverse

To be very fair, I think the character arcs of both Mulder and Scully is done, at this point.
It's so done it looped back around to the beginning--or at least the middle--which I think contributed to her reaction. No one asked for another Miraculous Scully Pregnancy Arc. I guess she's just a brood cow for hybrid babies or alien savior babies or whatever this third baby was supposed to be. Maybe an angel baby, or Samantha Mulder reborn. And Scully is immortal, she will be having babies forever. Eventually the planet will be overrun with Scully's children and the lack of genetic diversity will turn them all into inbred morons.

All the black characters will be smarter, saner and more competent than Mulder and Scully could ever hope to be! And every episode would consist of the writers screaming at you for not liking them despite how unpleasant and condescending they are

They need a new duo to make the series stick for the new generation. Unfortunately, I can readily believe talent is extremely thin on the ground. Who can even replicate Mulder's credulous paranoia, and Scully's clinical smarts? They couldn't stick it for the final seasons of X-Files, and they certainly can't now. (Doggett, unfortunately, lack the innate charm of Mulder. Bimbo latina at the very end was horrific and a bad actor, and probably cratered the series as a whole.)

Also how do you do a show like the X-files when being a conspiracy theorist is essentially equated with being a racist right winger? The 90s were a time where conspiracy theory was basically viewed as being a cool hipster pursuit. Alex jones was put in a richard linklater film and no one batted an eye.

I cringe to think about what conspiracies they will put in the black X-files reboot to make Mulder more palatable to today's viewers.

Not only was it hip, but you could be left wing and still into conspiracy theory, it wasn't instantly painted as a right wing thing.

Heck, 9/11 conspiracy theories started off as a leftist movement, tied in with the anti-war movement, they sure pulled a fast one on us by now making you associate questioning anything related to 9/11 as right wing, the left loves Dubya now.

How about a reboot of The Lone Gunmen, however they are all FTM. They are sequestered on a ranch, but mysteriously the land becomes barren, and their livestock all suspiciously die off. The locals don't take kindly to them 'round their parts, and the aliens are all enbys.

As much as I would love an excuse to have a show with monster of the week episodes, I don't want this for a variety of reasons. The important one is the original's mythology arc was a mess where Carter was clearly making shit up as he went along. I don't think today's audience even has the patience to wait for everything to fall together. However, if they got Wong, Morgan or Gilligan to write an episode, it could be somewhat watchable.

She also sperged out hard about there not being enough diversity on the writing team and staff, so there is that.
But...one of the best writers on the show was Asian...

Subvert the narrative by switching from the perspective of the fbi agents trying to crack the case to that of the men in black / glownigger's point of view where they are orchestrating cover ups and false flags etc...

Oh, and drop the niggers of course.

I believe it was more to do with gender diversity. According to her there weren't enough female writers on the team.
Wasn't she bitching about her salary for like the first five years of X-Files? You know, the salary she agreed to for taking the role.
