a) Judith Butler isn't a feminist. She's a fucking queer theorist, which has always been in opposition to feminism. She calls herself a feminist, but troons call themselves women. Self-identification doesn't mean shit.
b) Johnny Text wrote," Janice Raymond (basically the pioneer of
TERFs) . . . All of them during the 90s when it was first called the "LGB" never gave a shit." Not true. She wrote The Transsexual Empire, which you linked to, in 1979.
c) You left off Robin Morgan, Mary Daly, and Sheila Jeffreys, and all the others who have been speaking out against this for 30 to 50 years.
d) You're right about Catherine Mackinnon. I don't know what the hell her problem is. None of the TERFs I know know what her problem is. You're also right about Roxanne Dunbar Ortiz. Nobody I know knows what her problem is either. Oh, and another disappointment is Jane Caputi, who thinks there is some cosmic feminine force that somehow sometimes lands in a man. It's really stupid on her part, since she fucking wrote a book called The Age of Sex Crime, about how male serial sex killers often chop up the genitals of women, and evidently forgot the part about how a lot of them dress like women, and also ignores the part where both men and women are currently having their genitals chopped off. She's a fucking idiot.
e) Andrea Dworkin is an interesting case, in that she was very clear with her friends how much she couldn't stand troons (the only thing positive was that she felt sorry for the ones who trooned out because of sexual abuse), but her abusive partner, John Stoltenberg, who's an LOLCow in his own right who likes his sexual partners young, keeps trying to claim she supported troons.
A. I never said she was. That was fapcop. I just stated that she'd been involved with transgenderism for a long time. Besides, if she is a feminist or not, it's meaningless to argue. Because of her actual background, I agree it is just queer theory and whatever the fuck shit decimates in her essays - well, unless it's the book on David Reimer when she had to admit her hero John Money is a piece of shit - which I shit you not, blew his brains out when she was writing it. She had to make a separate note on the chapter she had finished. The book is called "Undoing Gender" go to page 74 and look at the bottom. Hell, I'll post a screenshot.
B. Yes, because it is one person, and she got shat on for it for decades. When you read the
chronological events and the
open statement trannies were as deranged as they are now, and threats of rape, murder, and vandalism silenced many people. Others like Naomi Weisstein and Roxanne Dunbar either didn't care or didn't want to be involved. Even in 2014, when that open statement was made. Naomi spent her last year with her family, and Roxxanne published a book nobody gives a fuck about.
I don't recall Robin Morgan or Sheila. I remember Mary Daly and forgot to mention that she was an adviser to the book she was writing. She was also her teacher. That's my B. She's also pretty delusional in her sense. Besides being a staunchly empathic misandrist, she wasted her time on spirituality and theological and mythical revisionism.
C. Obviously, there's a lot more I couldn't give a shit to type them all down (hint take a look at that open statement and scroll to the bottom; you'd find 45 different signers I haven't mentioned) like Kathy Scarbrough, Roberta Salper, Marjorie Kramer, Jean Golden, Marisa Figueiredo, Maureen Nappi, Sonia Jaffe Robbins, Tobe Levin, Marge Piercy, Barbara Leon, Anne Forer, Anselma Dell’Olio, Carla Lesh, Laura X, Gabrielle Tree, Christine Delphy (France), Pam Martens (FL), Nellie Hester Bailey, Colette Price, Candi Churchill, Peggy Powell Dobbins, Annie Tummino, Margo Jefferson, Jennifer Sunderland, Michele Wallace, Allison Guttu, Sheila Michaels, Carol Giardina, Nicole Hardin, Merle Hoffman, Linda Stein, Margaret Stern, Faith Ringgold, Joanne Steele, Bea Kreloff, Marjaleena Repo, Amina Ali, Vita Rumney, S. Grace Skrobisz, Laurie Fuchs, Laura Jane, Ruthanna Barnett, Kathleen Barry, Beth Redlin, and Eli Bartra.
D. I also didn't want to divulge for the same reason of time and to keep shit more manageable because it's a lot of information. I made Shulamith Feuerstein a possible exception if you have time to look into her beliefs on cyberfeminism, specifically augmenting men into women.
E. I never thought of mentioning Andrea Dworkin because it makes me sad.
