This has my favorite argument people make about why trans headcanons are "superior" to just regular genderbends. The idea that genderbends are bad because "defining them as masculine men/feminine women with no consideration to the character" blah blah blah because I cannot think of anybody that reinforces gender stereotypes more than someone making a male character into a trans woman.

How is this depiction of Light anything other than a stereotypical genderbend? It's a cutesy, flirty girl in pink. Anyone that's watched/read/seen anything from Death Note knows this has no characteristics of Light whatsoever.
If this artist had said it was a genderbend, they'd be blasted to hell and back for reinforcing gender stereotypes, but as long as you claim it's actually a "transfem headcanon", you can genderbend characters into girly girls with zero of their original characteristics or personality and its A-OK.
