3. If I didn't already know these guys were troons, I would assume they were shitfaced metal heads who just came back from a music fest, and they're trying their best to appear sober :story:

My first thought was "They look like two male metal fans who hastily raided a Goodwill for women's clothing after losing a bet."

Those boots are still hideous, but at least in the right picture they match the outfit.

What the hell is even going on with those boots? It looks like his feet and ankles are collapsing inside them.

Zac just looks like a man wearing a Led Zeppelin costume. Why not just fucking be a man, Zac
Zac was born in the wrong decade. He'd have been a perfectly average guy in the 1970s. Like he'd be right at home on a lawn chair in someone's garage, drinking Schlitz and listening to Aqualung.

Troons really do have poor color coordination. The right picture is more appropriate because the tan pants cover the dark brown sweater. The burgundy with the mint green pants? Ick, you're not an Aero bar. The pink and gray doesn't work, either, but the blue does.

I had those same boots in the early 90's. Now I feel old! LOL

On an unrelated note, since Tony loves studies so much, a new one dropped on March 29, 2023 with strong support for a social contagion theory. A few interesting highlights include: "Parents reported that they had often felt pressured by clinicians to affirm their AYA child’s new gender and support their transition. According to the parents, AYA children’s mental health deteriorated considerably after social transition. "

Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria: Parent Reports on 1655 Possible Cases

"Among girls featured in the study, 60.9 percent reported having another friend coming out as transgender “around the same time.” Having friends come out as transgender was heavily correlated with the decision of girls to socially transition. According to the study, 77.3 percent of females with transgender friends “had taken steps toward social transition, compared with 54 percent without such friends; for males, respective figures were 39.5% and 21.7%.”"

The study claims that 42.5 percent of adolescents observed already had a mental health disorder, and these disorders began about four years before the dysphoria. Young girls heavily reported strong feelings of anxiety and self-harm as their first symptoms of gender dysphoria. According to the study, young people with a history of mental disorders are more likely to transition.

“The finding is concerning because youth with mental health issues may be especially likely to lack judgment necessary to make these important, and in the case of medical transition permanent, decisions,” the study claims.

They're back in to some extent, a normal person could get away with a Dr. Martens + leggings look as a 90s callback (although nothing could ever justify that coat). But in Tony's case, the thin leggings next to the clunky Docs just emphasize his huge man-sized clompers.

What struck me was how the toe sections of his feet look so flat, also his right ankle is tilted inwards. The latter could just be the uneven ground but I'd be curious about how his feet and ankles are doing.

My best guess is that he's buying women's shoes because he is a laydee now, but he has massive blocky man-feet and has to size up so much that the boots are far too wide.

Yeah 90's fashion (or a weird version of it) is very in just now. Dr Martins are popular amount daft "non binary" women. Troons love them because it reminds them of the goth/alternative girl they are usually skin walking. At least in my neck of the woods.

The Doc Marten brand might be enjoying a renaissance, but the quality is not the same. Much of the manufacturing has been relocated to Asia, and the quality definitely took a hit.

The last time I bought Blundstones, it seemed like they were still decent, but they're no longer made in Australia. They do seem more transparent regarding their ethical
standards.

If anyone cares, Red Wing still makes their boots in the United States, and while the price point isn't the same as Doc Marten, they may be one of the very last "buy it for life" brands in existence. The difference in quality and "feel" is like night and day; you can tell that you've bought something that will outlast you.

That was my first thought as well. Unlike sneakers though, Doc's are fairly unisex. That exact style of boot can be purchased in maroon in men and women's sizes, so I'm willing to bet just selecting men instead of women makes him dysphoric, which is hilarious because a ton of women buy men's shoes in their size because the style options tend to be less gaudy or ridiculous.

It's a bit odd that neither of you, even the guy claiming to have owned a pair, don't know the phrase "Doc Martens". They're not a new phenomenon.

Also, any woman with unusually large feet learns in adolescence that giant clunky boots with leggings or slim leg pants are unflattering and make you look like a clown, especially if you aren't tall. Some of us learn to embrace it, but in Tony's case, I think that it's yet another example of how he was socialized male despite his fervent protestations to the contrary.

Women are also better at putting together outfits with matching or complementary tones.

May I suggest for everyone’s consideration Danner Boots, made in USA and including some that can be remanufactured.

Tony not being socialized male but having two heterosexual marriages in the crapper, one of which produced a kid. Okeeeee

I notice also that he said he needed to get his wisdom teeth out back in 2019, but only had that surgery done about a month ago. Dickchop must've been more important! I wonder how many oral surgeons he bitched at about forcing him to go off his titty skittles until he found one that didn't care. I'd hazard a guess that there's a good reason why they'd want you off of hormones before surgery, but Tony wouldn't listen to the docs who were telling him things he didn't want to hear.
He does strike me as being dumb enough to not just say he stopped. Wisdom teeth are like an hour procedure or so, you can even choose to not get knocked out if you don't want to. (I would not recommend it though, they're cutting your best secured teeth out of your skull.) I have to assume it's merely a concern about the anesthesia or something. They probably told him what exactly it was and he could have looked it up to consider the risk level. But he put it off for four years. I'm not going to look it up but I know there's no way he waited four years after deciding he should dig his dick out.

Since the outfits stopped I forgot just how fucking big Tony's feet are.

Also his inability to not put them in shoes that don't emphasize this in his desperate desire to LARP as some chick he knew 20 years ago.

I can't remember the exact lolcow to link you to this but one a few years ago was bitching about how women's sizes in work boots they wanted didn't go up high enough and there were pictures of the men's and women's off the website and they looked completely identical, there was no possible way someone could know unless they looked inside them. I remember this because it struck me that you could just relabel the men's, maybe stick a tiny trans flag inside and mark the price up for what would be only a minor step change in the manufacturing process. Just run the men's line for an hour or something without the labeling and then just label all these separately, add $10 for trans awareness, cash the checks.

Wisdom teeth can potentially close gaps between teeth as they grow in, but that happens way before when Tony got them pulled. However, the underbite really should've been dealt instead of going for the jaw shave, since that would've naturally softened his facial shape a bit. He might even pass for someone who wasn't generated by AI.
