Tabletop Roleplaying Games (D&D, Pathfinder, CoC, ETC.)

It's really weird they're even bothering to defend the film, because NONE of the DnD films ever made their money back. It's actually amazingly retarded Wizards keeps trying to do this, since each and every one of them were bombs.
I feel like this film couldve done decent, if not great if WotC hadn’t fucked it. The problem is between the politics and power creep driving away all the normal people, the OGL fiasco driving away tourists and dangerhairs, and the movie releasing at the same time as John Wick and Mario, that was never gonna happen.

I personally dont give a fuck about the D&D movie, The D&D VTT, or D&D anymore. Im done. Not just because of the OGL, or even mostly. Its mostly because of the inflyx of trannies, fags, danger hairs etc since 5th got popular. I'm all in for Pathfinder if I want a D&D style adventure, and looking into other systems. Only D&D I'd play now is 3.5 or earlier.

Yeah, about Pathfinder...

Anyways, I highly recommend 4th edition, which was all clear of rampant faggotry, so long as you have a group that likes turn-based strategy in the vein of Fire Emblem or X-Com. 4th has better combat mechanics than any of the other editions, but that many moving parts aren't everyone's cup of tea.

To refer to fourth edition as “moving parts” is akin to calling the Pacific Ocean “somewhat moist”. by the time you hit level 10, you have players constantly throwing down +/- modifiers, some of which only apply situationally, and which must be recalculated every turn because it was designed to be used with a VTT that never materialized. If you’re stanning 4E, I can only assume that it’s either been house ruled all to hell.

Paizo is even woker than WotC with faggots, trannies, dangerhairs and niggers.
The only thing separating the two, other than size, is that Paizo hasn't tried any licensing fuckery. So if you don't care about OGL, its sort of like ordering twelve big macs and a diet coke.

TBF that's only if you obnoxious min-maxers. Honestly just get some cheap poker chips and magic-marker +2 or -2 on them and stack them beside fig if you aren't doing VTT.
Edit: Another thing that helps massively is doing side based initiative or having all creatures of a certain type 'share' initiative. If I was running my perfect game, initiative would be individual and rolled every round, but its such a massive drag on play speed streamlining is an acceptable compromise.

4e isn't everyone's cuppa and that's fine, but its still just popular to grog about.
And really like any edition that real fun is had under level 10. I like to put in a Lvl 5 cap with "extraordinary progression" to lvl 6, and stat-bonuses in lieu of level after (but higher level gear still drops).

See heres the thing, I dont care if the company is woke, I'm sick of the people who PLAY 5e, and I know they won't play PF. From the lityle I've played, there is very little woke in the game itself

Edited yo add. At least in my area, ever D&D game is 5e, and everyone has at least one tranny, 2 dangerhairs, at least 1 fat chick playing a "sexy" tiefling, or tabaxi, or elf, etc. None of them are willing to play anything other than 5e. So I figure if I can find a PF gane, or a OSR, or a savage worlds, theres at least a chance it'll be old school players.

They are already injecting lots of Woke into the setting for 2e. And Paizo has started back into 5e modules in earnest to attract the 5e crowd.
More people who shouldn't be playing non-narrative TTRPG play 5e than any other system I'll give you that without reservation. And people in most 5e games are having bad expectations set that will take a lot of unlearning and enhanced filtering. Honestly just say in your game advert that Tabaxi are banned and that removes the furries who are 90% of the bad players (lol j/k no one will read your campaign advertisement)

If you like PF that's fine, play what you like; but saying its some anti-woke bastion is just lunacy. Giving Paizo money is still giving money to people who hate you.

Paizo has institutional schizophrenia. Some of their stuff is really quite interesting from both a fluff and a mechanical perspective.

Then they do dumb shit like removing slavery from their campaign setting because people might feel bad.

Although it does say a lot that they've stayed the course on promoting OGL, and all their rules are free online. So they've got that going for them, which is nice.

Got a better suggestion?

Off the top of my head I can personally attest to:
Basic Fantasy, TSR/Gygax D&D (specifically pitching the OSE repackage of B/X if you can get it from a source that isn't Exalted Funeral), 4e is going to be pre-woke (and PDFs are everywhere since Wizards dropped it), and Maze Rats.

Things I'll suggest but can't personally vouch for:
Castles & Crusades is made by people who don't hate you.
Other people itt have suggested WHFRP 2e.
I've heard good things about Knave.
There was also some swedish Hex-crawl RPG that looked interesting but I can't remember the name. Edit: Remembered it, Ruin Masters

Castles & Crusades is made by people who don't hate you.
If it helps, Gygax considered C&C good enough to start porting Not!Castle Greyhawk to it. He didn’t finish, since he’s dead and his whore widow won’t release his notes, but that still speaks for itself. They also give veteran discounts, if that’s any difference to you.

D&D getting rid of half races meaning they are getting of Half-Elves and Half-Orcs because they are "offensive"
I can't see this backfiring and having WotC lose more profits and good will. I mean it sounds so unintentionally racist. Races can't breed with other races anymore and have half breeds. They can only breed with their own races and keep the race pure. Actually, that sounds kind of based. Didn't know that the devs at WotC are fans of The Daily Stormer.

WOTC to remove half races from game. Says half races are racist.

Dungeons & Dragons’ To Remove Half-Species From Player’s Handbook, Claims The Entire Idea Is “Inherently Racist”

Tabletop Games & RPGs

In their latest step forward on their long march to lost profits, Wizards of the Coast has revealed that they will be removing the concept of ‘Half-‘ species from the Dungeons & Dragons Player’s Handbook on the grounds that they are “not comfortable” including an “inherently racist” concept in the game.

This forthcoming update was first announced publicly at the recent D&D Creator Summit, an event wherein Wizards of the Coast gathered a number of notable personalities ranging from game developers to content creators and provided them with a sneak peek at Dungeons & Dragons’ upcoming releases.

Following a rocky start to the Summit marred with various technical difficulty issues, the publisher eventually hosted a demo of their upcoming D&D Virtual Tabletop, after which D&D lead rules designer Jeremy Crawford, senior story designer Chris Perkins, and studio art director Josh Herman appeared for a Q&A session with the attendees.

Eventually, the post-demo Q&A turned to the topic of WotC’s ongoing efforts to sanitize D&D, beginning with a question about how exactly the publisher makes use of their sensitivity readers.

“We don’t send everything to the same people all the time,” Crawford explained of their content review process (per a summary of the event posted to the EN World forum by user brimmels and a recap provided by content creator Daniel Kwan). “Different reviewers have different areas of expertise and experience. Everything gets sent to at least 2 people, sometimes more. The old inclusion review process had holes in it because they would only send out what they thought would be a problem. Now EVERYTHING is sent out so we aren’t guessing what might be a problem.”

"Our team are game designers and storytellers, we’re not experts in culture and inclusion,” he added. “So we’re focused on what damage should this creature do. That’s why everything goes through inclusion review now so everything in our game brings out delight. Even reprints are going through inclusion review. That’s why some older books are changing, too.”

Further elaborating on WotC’s process, the designer detailed, “We get a full report. We then address the issues identified. We have a conversation. Then it goes back to the reviewers so they can see what we did and comment as to whether it addressed the issue. We also now send the art, even the sketches, through the review process. Jeremy thinks of it as ‘inclusion collaboration’ because it’s a conversation going on.”

To this end, Crawford then confirmed that due to the game now having four elf variants for players to choose from when creating a character – standard Elves, high Elves, Wolf Elves, and the Drow – the Player’s Handbook would soon be revised to do away with ‘half-‘ species.

“Frankly, we are not comfortable, and haven’t been for years with any of the options that start with ‘half’,” he explained of this decision. “The half construction is inherently racist so we simply aren’t going to include it in the new Player’s Handbook.”

Unsurprisingly, Crawford did not expand on his accusation, and thus his reasoning behind this claim remains unknown.

However, despite their removal from the Player’s Handbook, Crawford assured players that “If someone wants to play those character options, they’ll still be in D&D Beyond [and] they’ll still be in the 2014 Player’s Handbook”

It should be noted that though players may still be allowed to create Half- characters, thanks to their removal from the core materials, such characters can not be used in an officially-sanctioned event.

As of writing, it is unclear when the Player’s Handbook will officially be revised, nor when it will hit shelves.

It's not racist at all to remove different race breeding that has been a natural part of real history and fiction is it?

As it has been stated here many times, the most racist people on the planet are white leftists. I honestly can not tell the difference anymore between them and your average fan of The Daily Stormer. The only difference is that white supremists don't want whites breeding with other races in order to keep whites pure while leftists don't want blacks and Latinos to breed with white people in order to keep blacks and Latinos pure. Since in the woke devs of WotC mind is "demi-humans are stand in for racial minorities and humans are stand in for whites" this is once again woke leftists showing how unhinged and racist they are.

Just baffling. "Your character has a mother from one race, and a father from another, so you're a half-X? You fucking racist!" The Outcast/Half-breed has been a standard archetype for ages, because stories about individuals who struggle to find belonging among other people are naturally appealing to human beings. But now even a "Yeah, my dad's actually an elf, pretty cool, huh?" is too much? What purpose does removing options like this really serve, when it's obvious that "racism" is just a flimsy excuse? I think a while back I made a post talking about how modern writing seems so averse to conflict that they won't let anything bad into their story, leaving just "Fuck you, dad!" as the go-to struggle, but now they're even chipping away at that. Can't have the trope of a character caught between two parental cultures with their competing expectations and deciding to strike out into the world to go their own way, no no, that might make a hypothetical consumer of mixed ancestry actually feel something when rolling the (virtual) dice around. I can't believe we've looped so far around that inter-racial children are now too icky to include in a product.
