It's funny how all they have to do is put Harry Potter aside and read another book, but they just won't. You see them talking about how lame and hateful Harry Potter is, compared to Discworld or Animorphs or Earthsea or whatever it is this week, but it's all cope.
And of course, if you actually ask any of them about these books they won't know because 90% of them never read any of it.
This one seems to be their favourite go-to. They will occasionally mention discworld, but the Pratchetts are slowly falling out of favour now, thanks to PTerry being too dead to atone for retroactive transgressions, and Rhianna rejecting the political molestation of The Watch series she was working on. It's also too adult for their tastes, as it was never conceived as YA fiction and only gets lumped in amongst that pablum because of the Tiffany Aching books, and because entries in the series as a whole are relatively short.
If they had their way, JK would be ripped from her home, thrown in jail for her evil beliefs and stripped of every penny she's ever made for the franchise.
And they'd pat themselves on the back for being the good guys the whole time.

Honestly of all the fantasy authors people could be mad at and cancelled I'm shocked these trannies and clout pushers haven’t gone after one of the more obvious candidates that deserves far more scorn and has actual problematic content than JKR. Fucking George R.R Martin. The man is a genuine hack who has failed to release anything significant in the past 11 years, fails to even cater to his fanbase in any degree and never rewards them despite being invested and his franchise being one of the biggest sellers and most important media franchises in all of 2010s media. The entire series is a husk of its former self, but his books genuinely contain some pretty deplorable and gruesome content, rampant sexism against women and minors, constant creepy incest, and little no actual representation of LGBT or trans characters at all, I am honestly dumbfounded how the troons have had an actual (honestly far better) huge fantasy franchise that they could have directed their ire towards all this time yet barely pay it any heed and go after J.K Rowling who's objectively a genuinely pretty nice and liberal lady all things considered. George R.R martin is objectively a far more virulent and questionable author with far shittier morales and PR yet they chose her of all people.

But, they have cripples being made into child soldiers and then killed, permanently making a person into a rat and dumping him in a inescapable island, lots of ways an animal gets maimed and near the end one of the main cast gets killed and the rest gets war PTSD or turned into a cynical person and as adults they all get killed in the end.

If only they grew up and tossed their childhood-tinted glasses away, they might notice HP is a dark book series, especially when you look at it from an adult's perspective. The characters are often guilt-ridden all their adult lives due to things they fucked up as teenagers or young adults (Snape and Dumbledore), adult fears like losing your family (Molly who has lost both her brothers and her son), orphans raised not knowing their parents at all and dealing with the gaping void (Harry, Teddy Lupin or even Voldemort himself (also Delphi, his daughter from the sequel), families realizing that LARPing (wizard) Nazis will get them killed (Blacks, Malfoys), family ties being severed due to (magical) talent (Petunia and Lily), arrested developement due to losing everything you hold dear (Sirius) and realizing you wasted your life due to actions of others (also Sirius) etc. I recently started to reread the series as an adult and I noticed how dark and depressing the lives of the adult characters were (not all of them, but still) and how many adult fears and regrets they represented, how conflicted and complicated they were. Teens and YAs are quick to judge and lack understading of nuance. Rowling is smarter and more understanding than the mob thinks.

Yeah, GRRM is a massive pervert. No one writes detailed sex scenes and descriptions of bodily functions like he does if it doesn't turn you on. And that's not getting into how frankly inaccurate the non-supernatural stuff in ASOIAF is... like no, real medieval Europe was NOT that hostile to women, nor did incest have little to no consequences outside of mental instability (Targaryen Madness, Joffrey being massively sadistic, etc.). And if he tries to write off the incest with something like "muh Egyptians and Habsburgs", like all of those people were deformed and had heart defects and didn't live very long... I mean incest is not harmless. He also shows the faith as being subservient to the crown while the opposite was the case IRL; Tywin Lannister would have been excommunicated for massacring two royal children who would have been baptized into the church.

Personally I would prefer if she wrote book version and continuation of Fantastic Beasts because this story failed in its current form and could've worked as a book. I don't need the same story about Harry Potter told to me for the third time.
