I have to agree with everyone saying the whole situation is just bizarre. If she really did die, which is a big if for me, it has to have been accidental overdose. Especially since "Lacey" claimed she passed immediately after receiving pain medication. And if that's the case, that's just as strange as her attempting to fake her own death and schizoposting about it via her sister. The whole body swapping bullshit reeks of a future cop-out attempt for coming back.

I can't help but imagine her showing up under a different name and claiming to have been hidden by the government or have amnesia or something. Whatever the truth of the matter is, it'll be funny.

She certainly could have OD’ed, except Minnesota has no recorded deaths for a Chelsea Lawrence with a birthday of March 8-10, 1989 or 5/9/1988-1990. Checked her resume and tried her presumed birthday (5/9/1989) with Anne as the first name and nope.

Her amazon list is still up, as is her linkedin.

The fact that all of a sudden her sister started posting with the exact voice that Chelsea used in her videos and posts is what finally nudged me into the "not dead" camp

Would it definitely be showing up already? I feel like it's normal for there to be a lag.

So bear with me here; on an episode on Blocked & Reported recently, the hosts talked about a woman who was heavily involved in a subculture related to writing romance stories (I believe). She had become a target of angry detractors for one reason or another, and subsequently committed suicide. It was announced by her family via social media, Facebook in particular I think.
Well, in a follow-up episode it was revealed that she had actually NOT killed herself, but her immediate family had taken the reigns of her accounts and “killed her off” so that they could help her get proper mental health assistance. Turns out that she was bipolar and in an extended manic episode near the “end.”
Perhaps that is the gambit here? I doubt it personally, because of the social media milking that her posts are still striving for, but the precedent is there that suicide claims online can fool more people than you would believe.

We had a death in our extended family last month and the obit showed up at the funeral home's website and on couple of legit local newspapers' sites within a day. I didn't know his birthday but was able to find all three just by searching his name as soon as my cousin told me he died.

presumably for that a relation would need to be claiming she were dead? or she turns up as "Lacey" in a bowler hat and stick on moustache.

i can totally believe there would be some narc goal, just can't figure out what it would be. we know chelsea can muster a poorly executed LARP on social media but we have no evidence she can do anything irl that isn't malingering for tasty drugs.

GFM for funeral is a given imo.

Her name is Susan Meachen. It's interesting that you bring that up, because it was in the news quite a lot at the beginning of this year. The actual faked death was a couple of years ago, but the story about what actually happened broke a few months ago (January 2023).

There's been a ton of press about it, and it's all very recent. Chelsea's only face-saving options have been to fake death or to die for real. I guess it's possible to view "faked by death because of muh mentals" as a middle ground option, especially if you saw it work out for someone else. I don't know if Chelsea is that canny, though, given what we've seen of her grand plans to date.

She can quit faking on social media and play dead, but I don't really think she can give up trying to get drugs. That's the part I'm wondering about: even if she's off the public radar, she's still assuredly flitting from ER to ER. Faking her death would mean winning the battle, but she'd still lose the war.

I’m able to search for people through an online database to see when, where, how much, and who prescribed someone a controlled substance. I looked her up and saw when she was last prescribed a controlled substance (It was on December of 2022). I’m going to keep checking from time to time to see if any new prescriptions are filled.

The only thing that would make sense at this point is, Chelsea did die. She wasn't faking. However, She was being poisoned/OD by her mother whom took care of her must of the time. Which would make sense why the doctors couldn't figure out anything. I mean how could they not see as two grown adults she was actively dying? Most adults can tell or at least google. So she was but wasn't actively dying. Sounds like she just straight up and died which in itself is not normal.
