Nexpo/YT Horror Channels - Do they all suck

I've noticed that he's removed any mention of suicide in the remake, because even horror has to be sanitized for zoomer sensibilities.
Oh my god, what, fuck really? So what's with the mental condition that makes you kill yourself? He has to remake the entire thing tho because suicide also ties into Adam's backstory. It ties into a lot of characters' stories.

Rate me autistic but I care about continuity and coherency and now I just see that his work will become an absolute incoherent mess. Even more than it already was.

he got rid of the spooky faces. he got rid of the intruder face. that was like the biggest thing that people remembered about the damn thing.

:stress:

Yeah, I think I'm done with Mandela. Thanks, Alex.
It gives me "Mulan remake where we remove Mushu, Li Shang, and the cricket" vibes. Fuck me.

He might as well scrap the whole story if using suicide as part of the premise is too exploitative of real-life suicides.

Alex has said he finds the intruder and comically spooky faces cringe in retrospect but he should have stood by them, even if people mock them. Mandela was never a perfect series but at least Volume 1 had a more genuine feel to it.

With the Mulan remake the target audience in China didn't give a shit about it and continued watching their own Wuxia movies, but here the comments are going on about how amazing it is and his filmmaking improving.

Unfortunately when it comes to making shit on the internet, if what you create is good enough, it attracts the worst people possible.
How the fuck is the horror community on the internet so fucking spineless and weak? Nigga, it is your creation, they have no power over you. If they dont like what you do with your creation, just tell them to piss off.
Limpwristed faggote will constantly bitch about how stale horror movies have gotten constantly, pissing and moaning about how it's all just generic jumpscare ridden sludge. My retards in christ, you fuckers actively strangle any form of creativity when you dogpile some dude for covering a sensitive topic.

Without any interaction with "sensitive" topics horror really just boils down to "spooky man said BOO and now my friend is UNCANNY??!??!? WHAAAT??!?!?".
I doubt any of these retards are intelligent enough to engage with anything in any meaningful way it's all just so shallow

how can these people type and give Alex vigorous hand jobs at the same time

Check out Tara A. Devlin. Haven't kept up with her but she had a Kowabana series of Japanese urban legends and old stories.

This just proves that the whole thing was a fluke.

First episode was good, had great hooks and some unique stuff. Now it's gone.

Oh sorry, I meant, fr demons finna get some o dat rizz Gabriel B straight up no cap
That’s a really good suggestion. The whole Kowabana podcast (aside from the really loud intro jump scare noise thing) is really good. A lot of her videos actually made me want to look more into urban legends from Japan, there’s a specific one in her big compilation of media video here:

Where it’s from a news show or something, an interview is being done for a comedian and behind her refrigerator you see part of this pale, dead looking face with it’s eye wide open and from what I gather they tried to say it was some presumably severely anemic crewmember or something.

That video seems to be gone though. Not sure if it’s in the video but it was interviewing some Female comedian and the crew was in her house.

Just look at any classic horror movie and try to figure out how the fuck any of them would work around all these stupid rules.
Most stuff like The Blair Witch Project wouldn't exist at all.
Not even Halloween, the holiday i mean. Every year is more about pop culture references instead of scary costumes and decorations.

Did he feel bad for using supposed police sketches because some retard on twitter called it unethical? I'm not saying it happened but I would believe it.
I believe it too. There was a smaller series that I liked called Eventide Media but the creator ended up deleting everything and running away when he got some pushback for a plot point that involves the governent covering up a paranormal event by saying it was a school shooting.
Lots of creators don't have spine and would remove the good controversial parts to appease hypersensitive audience members. Its extra dumb because horror is all about controversy and making people uncomfortable, they need to lean into taboos more, not less.

That's what happened to Eventide? I think I watched basically all there was to offer before that happened. He really just nuked everything?

I love lost media, but I am so tired of every video I find of it being mostly "OMG guys I remember this lost bumper that aired on Nickelodeon in the 2000s and it scared me! We have to find it, it's part of media history!!"

I hear rumors that the Lost Media Wiki is a bit like TV tropes where if it's not popular they don't care about it, and mostly they care about cartoons from the last 15 years.

Yeah, but people did archive it before it went down. Shame too, becuase I did like his stuff. I made a post that screen capped his community post before nuking everything.
Don't know how many of you follow Eventide Media Center, but their latest video got pulled (along with all the other videos too for some reason) because it featured a conspiracy involving a school shooting. Honestly, how he didn't think he would get in trouble for that is hilarious, and I wish I saw the video before it got taken down.

EDIT: Found an archive of the video in question.

The channel also has the rest of the EMC videos too if anyone is curious and likes analog horror
Also here is a better archive of just the school shooting episode. (The one in my original post was a compilation)

Really? Why would you remove the only part of the series that made it popular? The whole premise of demons tormenting people until they committed suicide then assuming their features to find other victims was the most clear cut thing in the series. Did he remove mention of actually describing things in the series as suicides and just left the implication, or what?

I'm not sure why people think that horror content has to be completely sanitized now. I've seen so many chronically online people insist that you're not allowed to / should not cover dark topics in fiction, when the dread and horror of certain 'problematic' topics are what makes a story unsettling when they're presented in an actually compelling way.

At this point analog horror has become the gayer version of creepypasta
I think the moment there's an analog horror series about Sanic or MLP is when it will be declared gayer.

I still can't get over how an edgy MLP fic became a creepypasta, it wasn't even a lost episode or anything.
