I've seen it with my mom.
Once she told me she enjoyed the first movie so since she's the only person on the planet who did I figured she might enjoy this one.

The movie is not bad or cringe. I would not have gone alone that's for sure tho.

It's a good movie for kid and I had low expetations.
Critics are gen x/y people that expect way too much from a kid movie.

Yeah peach is a girlboss now which is fine imo it gives her a bit more personality. A shame that luigi has to take her place and become the captive princess. Luigi is a great character and I wish he got more screentime.
At the end of the movie I was surprised with how little they did with the run time. A lot of things are shown but it feels like a jog rather than an odyssey.
I enjoyed the nice references like Funky Kong, the wrecking crew guy,little mac and kid icarus.

However I know it's a movie about a video game but self reference and nostalgia is the lowest form of humor. Toad saying: Your princess is in another castle was so cringe and forced.
The references are also pretty us centric. The japs have other memes and reference (think how they love Tingle).

I also dislike the trend of celeb voice actors in kid^s movie but it was bearable.

A decent movie for grown up and a good movie for kids. Have realistic expectations it's a cash grab not an indie abstract art masterpiece.
Part of me feels like the critics are butthurt that the film did not cater to their neckbeard ass.


Also no so long gay bowser nor epic bro combined attack combo which is a shame.

I'm a proponent of "early and often" but it clearly backfired with him. Remember when I thought he was "insightful" till I heard one of his more deranged "the bullies" spiels like 15 years ago and I noped out hard.

Another vote for also being humorless cunts. But the real reason is that checks and faggot parties were not had.

Since there is no way in hell I'm ever going back to a movie theater, guess I'll just sail the seas and check it out, knowing what to expect and to just mentally swap all references of Peach for Daisy should hopefully make it entettaining.
