So surprising that John's thing now is AR. A couple of weeks ago he was all-in on VR, but now that's "too niche" to really amount to anything, despite the biggest companies in the world heavily investing into the ecosystem.

I could be totally wrong, but I like to think that Wu's sudden disinterest in VR has to do with a measure of self awareness. There is a LOT of money being thrown at VR development, between Oculus paying for exclusive titles, HTC leading a 10 billion dollar venture capital alliance specifically for VR development, and Steam (allegedly, haven't seen it in action yet) just giving money to people to develop VR games with no strings attached. Wu may have figured out that there are going to be a lot of very competent heavy hitters entering this particular game, and if she can't make a successful mobile port, she has no chance of competing with actual game developers.

Hey guys, you want to hear a three word joke? Video games journalism.

No.

John logic: newer = better.

I love how that article starts by freaking out over something Gygax, an older gentleman who's dead now, said almost twenty years ago in relation to tabletop games, not video.
Also, lulz for listing Wu as a game dev.

Not only that, but Gygax was saying that gaming's audience was generally male. At the time of that article - 1998 - that was certainly true. He didn't say that women weren't allowed or shouldn't play games, just that the majority of the audience were not women.

Yet further down in the Kotaku article, they're claiming that "all the Gary Gygaxes who told them, 'no, get out'". Where did he say women should "get out"?

Then there's this gem - "against Gygax’s proclamation". What proclamation? Boy it's so easy to put words into the mouth of a dead person, right Kotaku?

The part of this shit show is the comments section, where some dumbass lists off a bunch of games and claims they did well because they catered to a female audience, despite the fact that 1) most of those games were made AFTER 1998, when the Gygax interview came out and 2) were successful because they were good and there is nothing to indicate they targeted women at all.

Yeah, so apparently Maddy Myers (isn't she one of the co-hosts of wu's stupid podcast?) wrote an article about how tired she is of guys hitting on her when she's out playing Pokemon Go.

Between this and Wu's 5 catcalls and constant masturbating prank phone calls, these two must be the sexiest women in the whole world.

Its amazing: she starts the article saying she hates talking to strangers, because social anxiety you guys, but then when she's listing all the things that would make being a real-life trainer so cool, one of the first is going to new places and meeting new people! And she doesn't see the cognitive dissonance there.

The article, which is on the Mary Sue, (on cell or would link) is a piece of work: the only "example" she has of being hit on is when her and her loser friends consider it a party to go to a public park at midnight to catch Pokemon, (remember these people are all in 30s and 40s) and a guy "in a hooded sweatshirt" walks near them without saying anything. Wut? She mocks the guys' perceived social anxiety in not chatting them up, even though she suggests it would be creepy to do so, all the while bemoaning her own social anxiety.

The article is a mess of self-contradictory whining. Surprised wu hasn't mentioned it.

Maddy dropped out of the podcast ages ago, and since then Wu and her don't seem to talk at all. Since Wu got kicked out of the SJW club Maddy probably dropped all contact or keeps it private.

Issues that matter.

Add U.S. auto prices to the long, long list of subjects about which Flynt/Wu knows nothing.

Of course, as we've seen from the way he and Frank live (and eat), Flynt/Wu probably sets a very low bar when it comes to what he views as luxurious.

Let the cringe begin...again.

So what, Wu? Even huge bombs have a decent opening crowds, until bad word of mouth gets around.

I went to see The Force Awakens about two weeks after it came out, and the theater was still packed to the brim. I seriously doubt GB2016 will be filling seats in two weeks, especially with Star Trek Beyond coming out the following week.

I wonder how Brianna will find the movie. Gee, I sure hope she doesn't bring up Ganergate, Dude Bros, or Neckbeards when she eventually spends eight thousand tweets reviewing it!
From what we've seen of the world according to Wu, a Gamergater wearing a Call of Duty shirt will be in the seats behind Wu, yelling out misogynistic slurs until he gets kicked out. It's okay though, he just proved that the movie is really amazing and special because it offends channer MRA Gamergate dudebro neckbeards.
