Those coins are what coin merchants call "junk silver" because they are only .720 fine. They are sold in sacks by the pound. It's what people call Pre-1965 coins in the USA.

Where as the kiwi-coin is .999 fine

he absolutely did.

as previously posted, this is what's called decoplata. it's a 72% silver / 28% copper alloy, and it was the silver standard for several latin american countries. it's also commonly referred to as "mexican silver".

the seller probably assured him that it was "real mexican silver", and he wasn't lying. the hilarious thing is that the ragepig believes that he bought it "for the low", when silver was over $24/toz that weekend.

it's interesting that he mocks mr. vickers, but he doesn't have anything to say about null's commentary.
