That's a whole lotta confidence for something we absolutely don't know yet. If this season has been written with the expectation that it is the final season, they could very well change Ruby into someone else. Maybe Ruby simply doesn't want to be a huntress any longer, and they allow that to happen. Two episodes left.
 
This season is arguably one of the worst yet but mean Ruby telling Neo to get fucked was awesome and I wish that confrontational bad bitch attitude was just her regular characterization.

There is something undeniably pretentious and fetishistic about the way RWBY (and Gen Lock season 2, though that was a different team) have handled suicide. Fuck, Penny's assisted suicide even came loaded with a heavy handed penis metaphor.

It's all dramatic and sad and poignant and beautiful, which is exactly what you're not supposed to do. You can say it's coddling but 13 Reasons Why did the same sort of shit and it's directly responsible for a massive boost in teen suicides so if ever there was a topic to be sensitive about in media then suicide would be it.

You know they really have a certain view of it being not the worst when they go out of their way to show it. Only the level of detail is different.
 
FRWBY Volume 6: Episode 13 recap
  • Cordovin still refuses to give Ruby's group a ride to Atlas, ignoring Qrow and Weiss.
    So Ruby shows Cordovin the Lamp, insists that Ironwood take it to Atlas, and refuses to tell Cordovin anything about the Lamp.
    Cordovin is persuaded despite Ruby providing no evidence to back up anything she says.
  • Cordovin does, however, explicitly state that she keep the Lamp in the Argus base overnight.
    You know, the Lamp that attracts Grimms, the Lamp that was so important in getting to Atlas and out of Argus.
    Ruby agrees to this.
  • The characters then mope and wangst about everything.
    Roman walks in, calls everyone "petulant," then goes on to be petulant as hell and abandons them because he doesn't care about anything.
  • Meanwhile, Cardin Winchester and his teammates are searching for their teammate who was knocked off the tree.
    Then they see Adam—
    the same guy who got knocked off the train by a drunk Qrow and has been trudging through the wilderness while injured.
    Anyway, Cardin and his team flee from Adam, and the episode concludes.
 
I always found Ruby obnoxious as the hyper and peppy "OMG TEH GLOMP" type. But even as the total opposite, I hate emo Ruby just as much. She always manages to be the worst.
 
I come back here expecting the same old shit from the totally beloved hit anime (whatever that means): RWBY, and instead I get fucking totally bamboozled by Rooster Teeth with all these recent events, especially our little retarded heroine: Ruby Rose becoming a complete fucking EPIC zased pi gal and drone striking her bipolar faggot sister and that stupid fucking nigro feline. Not to mention Ruby getting completely butt fucked and brutally raped by Neo and having her mouse side bitch get fucking live leaked was very funny so I must praise Miles or whoever the fuck even writes this show any more for that lovely Holy Week surprise 💝 They even brought back ultra sexy godly Roman and made Jaune a complete schizo legend, all we need now is Sun to return and take a shit and fuck Velvet by his ex crush's grave. Bravo Miles and Kerry!

Also, very fascinating plot twist that RWBY has become much more entertaining now and even written better somehow than Celtic Phoenix's boring piece of shit "fixing" rewrite.

As stated before, even more evidence of A.I. having a better sounding voice for Ruby than the actual show.
And people say that A.I. is complete garbage and bad for humanity. Give me a fucking break!
