His e-begging video really puts things in perspective. Save your money, invest wisely and don't waste opportunities.

Back to GTA:

For all i can praise regarding GTA 4 and it's writing, Kate is not part of that. They tried to portray her as the innocent one that's unfairly affected by the shit all the people around her drag in, but she's so condescendingly righteous about it that it's a real put off. That would've been understandable if you were playing as Claude or Tommy Vercetti, who are the sociopathic monsters she bitches about, but with a character much more layered like Niko, her constant "So, how's your expendable life as a dumb brute going?" monologuing gets frustrating, all the more because Niko never really calls her out on it.
Niko does tell Kate off during their drunk outings. I think she's ashamed that she has a family of criminals that she chastises Niko to feel better about herself. I cannot blame her per se and I can see how it can be annoying to some people. I find Packie and Gerry the most honest of the McCreary family.

Ironically, Michelle/Karen had a much more interesting dynamic with Niko. There's a lot of untapped potential had they developed her as the love interest in the story

Would have been interesting to see their relationship expanded further, to the point where one of the endings would involve her having to arrest/kill Niko.

GTA IV ending question (Deal ending):

What sense did it make to have Dimitri kill the guys collecting the H and have Niko/Phil kill the guys with the cash? Why would Niko/Phil be to blame for what Dimitri did?

What do you mean? It was made with San Andreas assets I'm pretty sure.

The Introduction actually predates LCS and VCS btw. It was released along with the San Andreas soundtrack I think.
What I mean is The Introduction only exists in a very low res form and it was fully done in-engine, so being able to recreate it on PC with all the graphical fidelity goodness of it would've been fantastic.

What no GTA does to mother fuckers.

(Also those fucking comments. This fanbase is retarded and this series is doomed)
I'm really fucking glad I unsubbed to GTA Series Videos a long time ago. I unsubbed because every time there's a new edition of a game that comes out, they started flooding my sub feed with videos. I used to watch them all the time for GTA DLC updates, seeing what was actually added, especially the cars. Too bad they can't do anything creative with all this downtime, other then throwing things into an AI generator and watching it vomit up things.

I unsubbed too, but apparently youtube still feels the need to always have their shit pop up on the side all the time for me.

At least now I have a good idea to avoid GTA VI, since I'm sure the characters will be talking about their drip drips and caps all the time which will annoy the fuck out of me.

Dont watch youtubers at all (refuse to call them content creators) but The Professional is one of the few good ones. His earnest autism towards GTA is endearing, while most people would rush through the story to get that video out faster, this guy makes sure he dwelves into side activities, friend outings and the like just to get that extra bit of lore out and talk about it, i appreciate that

The best part about The Professional is that when he had little to talk about in regards to GTA, he just started doing other games he liked and when GTA faggots bitched he was just like "Sorry, you don't have to watch non GTA videos I make but I hope you will." and just kept doing what he was doing.

Speaking of which, The Professional made a video of him in a GTA IV free mode lobby in 2023.

Nice to see that things haven't changed.

About The Professional, I was apprehensive of his GTA 3D era content since I knew him from his GTA Online videos. What sets him apart from other gameplay commentary videos (aside from his costumes matching the protagnists, nice touch) is his in-depth knowledge of criminality and lore which complements the gameplay. He's one of the best content creators around.

In fairness, GTA Series Videos is composed of a team of people. The filler content could've been much worse.

Fun fact: the "pedestrians leaping in front of your horse" mechanic in RDR 2 is also equally intentional. Thankfully a mod fixes that, but its infuriating it even needed to be made.
I really don't understand the logic there, was it just left over from GTA 5 or did someone spend time programing it in for some reason?

This makes me wonder now if the peds jumping in front of your car occasionally in GTA III was jank like I thought or intentional the whole time.

That was probably jank, PS2 era and all that.

I honestly don't know, but its the same sort of "Hey asshole, slow down" bullshit. And unlike in GTA5 where its a car crash in RDR2 you typically wind up with a dead pedestrian and you wanted for murder.

Don't forget the bullshit boost enemies get so they can ram your ass and how no matter how soft a ram it is, your car will swerve hard.

I can see the point of that sorta of thing if you were in a police chase, make it a bit more interesting, but it happening in normal gameplay is pretty cringe.
