Yeah but isn't it weird? Phil obviously doesn't want a 10-year plan, he wants to just keep scamming retards and his parents forever. And Mom doesn't want a 10-year plan because that's either a blow-off or an outsized commitment to mud-wrestling pigs. So how did a 10-year plan even wind up on the table?

I think she gave him some type of ultimatum after she realized her almost 40 year old son couldn’t contribute anything towards his own wedding. Forgive me if I get some lore wrong, but I’m pretty sure Phil’s parents paid for the plane tickets, the hotel, the dinner afterwards, and probably the actual marriage license itself. Phil used an old suit, Kat got a hand me down dress, they supposedly found their rings on sale from some place that was going out of business. And on top of all that, Phil had the nerve to hit mom up for even more money for taxes or to save the house or whatever beg he had going on.

Something had to have clicked in Mama Burnell’s head and she told Phil that he needs to find a more stable career because she can’t keep bailing him out. He made up some bullshit ahn the fly about needing time to transition into something else just to shut her up, crafted that into the 10 year plan on the plane ride home for the dents, and eventually memoryholed it years later. That’s my theory anyway.

Yesterday [Easter Sunday] Phil did a stupid bit about Jesus Christ being a zombie.

Phil's chat disagreed.

"Yes he is a zombie. He came back from the dead, he's a zombie ............... people are saying he's not a zombie. Well, whatever. He came back from the dead, Jesus Christ, supposedly."

Today, paypig Ronnie Blaze [one half of the Dutch Bros.] let Phil know that this was not appreciated.

Phil tells Ronnie that he is being ridiculous and he needs to chill out. Then Phil tries to give some broad advice about how you'll enjoy life more if you don't take things so seriously, before again telling Ronnie that he's being ridiculous for implying that Phil was being disrespectful.

I still think he isn't on speaking terms with Dave. Phil has always brought him up in the context of blowing off his dad's emails. He probably had Linda under pignosis, but Dave probably had seen his son as a lazy piece of shit ever since the helicopter company layoff.

That and I think what sealed the deal was when his parents flew out to Seattle to visit him and Panda at the time, Dave cleaned up his backyard, painted, and did a lot of work on the WAKhando. Instead of having his parents crash there, they had to stay at a hotel because Phil "didn't have any room." The room that used to be Panda's office? No, can't use that, dood! Also, remember he was so damn lazy to pick up a garbage bag, his dad - you know, the one with the bad back - had to lift it up. I'm willing to believe that after flying back to that ghetto, Dave had the realization that he was just an asset to his son. He tries to contact him, because I'm willing to bet Linda is a MAJOR ballbuster, does it to please her.

I think Dave TRIED to have a relationship with his son, but eventually, he gave up. If I remember correctly, it was his mom that talked to him about about the ten year plan. He didn't mention his dad, it was "My mom and I talked about what am I going to do..." and once he got the money to get on the payment plan...and the INSTANT he got that money, it was back home to Renton to blow it on burgers and gacha.

When the day does come to where they finally do pass away, I hope Dave and Linda leave everything to sister cousin. Knowing Dave, that's what he's betting on: the INSTANT they finally drop dead, Phil gets a call from their attorney, saying that he needs to speak to him to go over the last will and testament, but that bastard better call when Phil isn't streaming, he'll be on the FIRST flight back to that ghetto to collect his check...only to find out that they left everything to Melissa.
