Nah, it wasn't for anything I said, more like ethnic profiling or an unfortunate mistake. The only thing they got in the end was correspondence with my brother in the messenger, which wasn't much - just calling orks orks and the like (I hoped to keep a low profile, but with how things went I'm not sure if this got noted anywhere, I might still be in the clear). I was only a "potential witness", you see, the case of "if we don't find what we're looking for then you're good to go" and "you've got nothing to hide though, so it's no biggie if we take your shit and take a look?".

I was born in Ukraine to Ukrainian mother, we're one of the many Russian-Ukrainian families. Though I lived pretty much my entire life here in Russia, which wasn't an issue until recently.

That was the plan, I stopped being interested in heroics ever since I developed the ability to think. I just want to live my fucking life in peace, could've never imagined it would get to this point. All that said, I'm morally preparing myself to leave the life I knew behind, as much as I don't want to.
Since you clearly don't have the brain of a vatnik you might as well contribute to the Ukrainian war effort by further worsening Russia's brain drain and emigrating to Georgia or Serbia, even just to avoid conscription.

After the Ukrainian victory maybe you can return to your country of birth and help rebuild it. At least you know the word "freedom" will mean something there; I doubt it will ever mean much in Russia.

Before anyone gets any funny ideas: The document says there are 97 in total, of which 14 are from the USA.
My guess is they are there to advise and observe on the ground, rather than doing sneaky operations against the Russians. 97 special forces dudes can do some stuff, but not much to change the course of the war. In Afghanistan there were 500 British special forces alone and that was a lower intensity conflict.
Desert Storm kinda wasn't as the U.S. military had much more pessimistic expectations that the Iraqis would've put up a better fight and do more damage before going down.

Very likely. SoF aren't Space Marines. 97 perssonel across several different organizations wouldn't do much. These guys probably aren't even allowed to travel East and are a a few hours drive away from Poland and are just training Ukies up on western technologies and tactics.
